  1. Walcott Spurs were never real title contenders like.

    Hatem Ben Arfa

The lazy tag just goes to show what effect propaganda from the manager can have. I've honestly never watched him once and thought he was lazy. Losing possession cheaply at times and holding onto the ball too long are all valid criticisms (almost always in positions like yesterday where he's given twenty minutes to win the game cos no f***er else will) but the lazy thing, I simply do not get. Robert was lazy, I loved him and didn't care, but I could freely admit that workrate wasn't up there as an attribute. Ben Arfa? I simply don't see it. In fact, the appropriate word would rather be "nonchalant" instead of lazy concerning Ben arfa. It's like he doesn't care, he's indifferent. But it is, here again, rather a way of being than something intentional. In every clubs he was, people have said the same about him... Sometimes things seem too much easy to do for him so he doesn't put the minimum effort to do them well or make them even better (here I mean both in training and in matches). That's why he's a frustrating player for some people... If you watched him going mental with the fourth official about Wolves' timewasting I think it's quite clear he does care.

Daft bint next to me went 'Awww hey, you don't like him do you?', in response to me saying 'He's finally putting Ben Arfa on'. She called him the 'laziest ratbag' shes ever seen or something along those lines. Incredible.

There were also about 3 points in the game where he got the ball, looked up and there was not a movement made by those ahead of him. It was more noticeable when Shola was on like. you see neej, thats where you're talking s***, those,THOSE ? he only ever had ba ahead of him. I can't work out whether that's a dig at me, a dig at Pardew's tactics, a dig at Shola or all three.

  6. I can't understand why we don't just play the ball to his feet. He's a fucking brilliant footballer, and not as good in the air. One of his poorest games today if not his poorest so far, but it's to be expected if we play like that as a team.

What did Ryan Taylor do to justify him starting ahead of Ben Arfa then?

Moronic post. Even on this showing, he still produced two shots that were very unlucky not to go in. Obertan produces nothing.

A couple of good games doesn't mean he should be expecting to start ahead of Cabaye.

Surely he's not thick enough to think he warrants a place ahead of Tiote or Cabaye though? Or thinks hes been playing well enough to accommodate him instead of either Demba.

Diabolical performance today. Looked more likely to help Wolves out rather than ourselves.
  12. So you'd like to see Jonas dropped to accomodate Perch at centre half? I hope I'm being wooshed here.

Same really. It's a decent squad for me, it's mainly the midfield that's a bit disappointing. Downing, Milner and Walcott would be nowhere near my team. I think Frazier Campbell is potentially very very good, so much depends on keeping his fitness for the next couple of years though. Don't be silly.
  14. The Union Rooms (Wetherspoons) is handy for the train station... Is it likely to be quietish the night of a derby though, or full of roaring drunk maniacs? Love eating and drinking in the Town Wall at the moment, just opposite central up Pink Lane. Had the fish finger sarnies? Insane.
  15. The crowd didn't like him when he was angry.
  16. Could be this, just a fiver instead. Snide. I really don't understand the membership thing and why you have to be a member in order to buy a season ticket. What do you get for being a member that you don't get by being a season ticket holder (apart from some naff badge)? Surely being a ST holder is enough with a commitment of several hundred pounds a year. For non-ST holders, you get the priority for match tickets but ST holders don't need that nor do they need it for away games. It is just a con on the "price freeze" offer. And is the membership fee going to go up £10 every year? After 10 years, that would be a fairly high fee on top of the ST. They say all profit from the membership scheme goes back into the Newcastle United foundation thing I think.
  17. If I were a Chelsea player I'd be on the deck every half an hour or so with a 'sore' groin.

If anyone brings a kid up to call it anything other than St James' Park from this day forward they need shooting tbh.
