  1. Just like last year. Let's have it.

    Alan Shearer

This is how he gets his big(ger) break isn't it?
  3. Decent article on our play in possession here: https://theathletic.com/4283366/2023/03/08/eddie-howe-newcastle-passing?source=user-shared-article
  4. Plastic Geordie Bruce said: "I've never, ever publicly criticised anybody, but the goalkeeper knows he's made a howler, unfortunately." worra cunt
  5. Deserved to starve in that desert, the fucking whopper.
  6. Happy to have it out in the open to be honest. No axe to grind whatsoever, I just remember you being super critical of Howe in the early days, with little to no retraction of the nonsense you posted. Hence, digs like that appear particularly cheap to me.
  7. Nee surprise at all to see Pilko liking this post, like. Seriously, man - fuck off.
  8. The fact they're scoring time in the corner shows how happy they are with the current scoreline.
  9. Awful crack, man. We're out of form, and no one truly knows what our current best first 11 looks like. Remember where we came from.
  10. We're doing really well, man. Restricting them to very little while creating two huge chances ourselves. There are a lot of them out there low on confidence in front of goal. We need one to cannon in off someone's dish/arse and I reckon we'll be right back on it.
  11. Missed chances aside, when was the last time we held our own at Man City like this?
  12. I know this is a moot point as Howe will likely keep faith with the usual back four (and Pope), but we've hardly been rock solid at the back over the last few games. I think it's time for a few changes, and I'm hoping that by the time we play Wolves those changes have happened. Disclaimer: I love Eddie Howe.
  13. I don't think Targett for Burn is that much of a blurted out frustration, is it? Burn has been running on empty over the last few weeks and (Leicester goal aside) he's absolutely bobbins in the final third. Targett coming back will give us more balance and more options going forward, both in-play and at set-pieces.
  14. It really did look class (I was underneath it so couldn't see it properly in real time). Might encourage a few renditions of Howay the Lads as well, which was (from where I was sat anyway) sorely lacking on Sunday.
  15. It's absolutely baffling that he's still got such a platform like, the big fucking whopper.
  16. I think Targett coming back in will be huge for us in terms of set pieces. It'll split the corner-taking duties and should naturally lead to greater variation in our routines.
  17. Wish I'd stuck about for another hour or so. It was bubbling as I left but it looks like it's exploded into life now!
