Owen sumed it up for me with his post match interview, we never looked like a team throughout the game apart from brief patches in the first half. Again the opposition has dominated a game (second half), is this down to coaching or lack of talent?? Also he touched on his contract developments, how the fuck can you sort contracts out if the club is trying to be sold?! Right mess this and VERY amatuer, we could be in some serious trouble come end of season! Next two games pompy and spurs, will we get anything from these...how about 2 more draws, Fucking hell!

A good point but we are riding our luck big time!! We are not playing well at all despite the decent defending, both chelsea and boro dominated the games. You can see that the team just isn't geling and we are not getting enough goals from midfield, how many goals have n'zogbia, butt, guthrie and jonas scored between them this season...i believe its 0, enough said! That said nexts week game v's stoke is a must win, and i'd be tempted to play owen, martins and viduka from the start to go for it!

One might be a defender and the other a midfielder, we are pretty decent in attack with owen and viduka coming back from injury.

Hes just not good enough for the premiership, and im pretty sure he wouldnt get into the team if we had another left back at the club. Im sure JFK or whoever is at the club in January will bring in a left back. One with some premiership experience would be ideal.

I can't really see why Duff is getting so much critisism on here, surely our defence should be getting most of the flack?! They are utter w***!! One of the worst in the prem FACT! Its almost as though we have to score 3 goals to win a f***ing match because these assholes cannot do their jobs properly, and if its not down to their potential as footballers then its our coaching staff should be sacked! This however all points to the laughable organisation of the club as a whole and the only way forward from all this mess is to sort out the off the field stuff before its too late...

Proved right AGAIN, our defence is shocking and one of the worst in the league FACT! Anyone who thinks enrique and cacapa are premiership quality footballers have no clue, why are we signing players of championship quality???? So fucked off, we can't keep making defensive errors match after match or we will go down. Our away form is worrying too. Once that defensive error happened it seemed to suck wht confidence the team was rebuilding in the 2nd half, i know what its like to have certain players let you down time after time from silly mistakes and it dosnt do confidence any good. We'll be scraping points here and there lets just hope its enough!

I hope im wrong but i've seen this many times before at this club, promising young foreign talent going to waste and after a few years going back to foreign clubs for nowt. I do agree selling a player just after signing him would make no sense at all but the question has got to be asked why was Xisco at least signed in the first place? To be honest Xisco and Enrique ARE championship standard and i wouldnt be too sad to see these two replaced by british players from the championship. JFK knows he hasnt got a penny to spend if he's still here in January (providing the club isnt sold which is looking more and more likely!), so has to raise funds from out paper thin squad. The only problem is as mentioned in this post good championship players arnt cheap these days so im worried what standard of player he has his eye on!!!

You cant drop ameobi for xisco?!!!!! Seriously thats just thick and you obviously have no idea! Xisco hasn't even settled while ameobi is on a run of 2 games 2 goals!! Its the midfield that needs sorting, id bring in nzogbia, jonas and barton for duff, geremi and butt or guthrie depending on wether butt is fit. Also im not sure about bassong at left back, looks a bit suspect v mackems, shows good promise but maybe his position is centre half so i would put in enrique. But at end of day whatever team JFK opts for anything other than a win and im thinking we'll go down, we deserve to if we cannot beat teams like wba and sunderland!

We are a dying club, can't see us winning a game for a couple of months to be honest so may aswell get used to it! The players just don't care anymore and are only interested in making plans to get out in january or end of season i bet! Would'nt you if you was working for a company that has an uncertain future?!

OK so i've not posted on this forum for some time but i've constantly been reading....tonights game was expected to be honest, we are no where near the top four in terms of player power. Our squad therefore is very slim and a few injuries to top players means weak replacements that are currently not premiership quality! Im not totally convinced of the board and manager seeing eye to eye and im worried king kev will walk out (milner deal being a big issue). i do tho think we will fair much better than last year as we are playing much better football, i believe a top 10 finish is not out of our hands. One issue that did embarrass me as a fan of Newcastle united and was more important than the defeat tonight was the introduction of Barton....i felt very disappointed that we was giving a thug a chance to play professional football again and the fact that the away supporters seen this didn’t help...Newcastle has always been my club and a friendly one of which football comes first win lose or draw, this however was not football and even though king kev stuck up for him at the end of the arsenal game you cant help feeling this is a player who will cause bad feeling and more problems in the games to come...will our supporters applauded him, i suspect not! I'm all for giving people second chances but is this really going to help our cause? I hope to god we sign a couple of new players in the next 2 days or this season up to the next transfer deadline might be more tricky than we expect! Roll on Hull at home!!

Thought this thread was Realistic Summer Targets????? I'm just being realistic! In out current position attracting top foreign talent is very unlikely!!! Koumas is a good footballer and better than what we have already in the centre of midfield, i can see emre departing..bartons head is shot after all the shit hes gone through, butt is at the end now, smith is s*** in midfield, nzogbia is way too lightweight and geremi is very average! Signing koumas, bullard and players alike would strengthen the squad and IF we could tempt 'better' players then so be it

Proven in OTHER leagues! Thats just my point! Havn't we made this mistake many times before???! Keegan has also wished he'd like players that are proven to be successful in the premier league...can we afford to make any more gambles shopping abroad?

How about staying away from unproven foreign players for a change and focus on bringing in british talent to get up us the league next season, for example... Scott Brown Adian Mcgeady Chris Burke Richard Dunne David Bentley Dean Ashton Jimmy Bullard Jason Koumas Nicky Shorey to name a few plus being Welsh and knowing we have some very good up and coming players coming through including Ched Evans, Sam Vokes, Aaron Ramsey and Joe Ledley. Not saying this is going to happen by a long way, i just think there could be some sensible buys there and not out of our reach bearing in mind we are not going to be in europe next season.

A decent point, after some horrific scorelines recently especially away from home!! Its against the bottom half teams we have to pick up points. You can see the gulf in class though....v's the top 4 teams we get torn apart and v's the bottom 6 teams we look like a reasonable team..plenty to build upon and lets hoe for 3 points saturday!!!!

Its beginning to look like WHEN not IF we get relegated...getting tanked every week and not scoring a single goal...guttless.

This squad is without doubt the worst for many a year, i honestly believe any manager in the world couldn't get this lot to win football matches!
