  1. Great 2/3 of the game, horrific final 1/3. We're still not that mentally tough yet.
  2. Bit rusty in periods but excellent in others. He's shown some really nice touches too. Very encouraging.
  3. I'd be ecstatic to win either cup, like. Way better than promotion. The League Cup's been won by Chelsea (x2), Man City (x2), Man U (x2), Liverpool & Spurs, in the last 10 years. It's not some tinpot contest.
  4. No way that Gayle is getting dropped. He won't play 2 strikers, therefore the only way they both play is if Gayle is out wide. Na, Gayle will be up front on his own. Mitro was rotated in for QPR. Expecting the same here. Gayle to come on after an hour or so.
  5. This lot have been playing pretty open football, from what I've seen. There'll be lots of counter opportunities.
  6. We've literally just won 6 on the bounce playing with 1 striker, it's not the problem. And we absolutely had plenty of goals from midfield yesterday.
  7. Some interesting comments in his nufctv interview. Pretty much said we tried to do the difficult things rather than the simple and put ourselves under pressure. I know nobody's going to come out and say we were complacent but that comment is somewhat damning, IMO.
  8. Looks like we defended terribly and were absolutely all over the place with our shape, judging by the highlights. Poor, poor professionalism.
  9. We resorted to having to send long balls to Gayle and he had no chance against their huge centre backs because they didn't let us pass it out from goal kicks. Was obvious that they weren't going to let Shelvey have any space either Would be interested to see what Diame was doing then - if their defence wasn't high enough to get in behind, in general play, but they were pressing relatively high then there must have been a decent gap in midfield to capitalise on? Either that or he should've pushed up to help Gayle. We have enough technical quality to beat a press, especially with a midfield 3 where the should be plenty of short options to play off. If only Mitro was on 5 minutes earlier... In the games Diane has played so far I've yet to see what his her role was supposed to be.
  10. The team today had more than enough firepower, by a distance, to put that Wolves side to the sword. I'm assuming the diagonals would've been to help get Perez and Ritchie in positions to cut in and shoot?

  12. Surely Wolves pressing high suits us more? We're always better when teams give us space in behind. Just sounds like we were too sloppy to capitalise.
  13. 68% percent possession, 17 shots and only 3 on target. Minging.
  14. Taylor and Besty ‏@TaylorandBesty 8m8 minutes ago Some of the worst passing I've seen at SJP for a long time today as well. Ah well, let's fuck them over in the cup and carry on. #nufc One for all us virgins.
  15. They were either complacent or everyone had been making such a massive deal about being complacent that some pressure was added. Either way, pathetic.
