  1. Not having a go but we got very lucky last season due to so many clubs having their worst seasons in ages. In all honesty who can we possibly beat under Pardew? I'd say we're on the level of Q.P.R but with the sad fact that despite all his flaws Redknapp is a million miles better than Pardew. What teams can we beat? Swansea will rape us, Hull will rape us, the Mackems will rape us. Only teams worse than us are WBA and Burnley. The rest can easily beat us. Will follow this up with: Where's the goals going to come from? Nobody's going to match Remy's 14, that's for sure. But I think one of our current striking bunch could scrape 10 over the course of the year. I do believe we have more goals throughout the rest of the squad than we had last campaign, though. The midfield and the bench, in particular. Not great, of course, but enough to secure something fairly mid-table. It all rests on keeping key players fit though, which is the massive gamble. We've already played Villa and Palace and not lost to either. Neither results were good, Palace especially, but I think it shows it's an even playing field. We're about level with or slightly better than 8 or so teams, in my opinion.
  2. Think we'll be fine, to be honest. Mid-table again, around 11th or 12th. We'll do well in games where we're the counter-attacking team. The problem remains when sides come up here and we can't break them down, it's something we've been terrible at for some time. If only we had an accomplished dribbler to complement our new playmaker and goalscoring attacking midfielder. The annoying thing is, we were actually close to having a decent blend in our forward line. Obviously, we are lacking a top quality forward but a 3 of HBA, Cabella and de Jong would've been great and provided enough ammo for even a half-decent striker to get 10 goals. Good mix of talents there. Banking on Aarons to basically fill HBA's boots now, I reckon. Oh well, cunts.
  3. He's used to carrying a club, at least. Feel sorry for him, comes here with it all to do.
  4. It was decent, until yesterday. Cabella and de Jong were really good purchases, the former especially and I'm confident he's going to be as massive for us as he was for Montpellier. However, we're now left without any cover so we pretty much need to go injury free for the next 4 months... f***ing hell, man. We needed to add to the early buys, not weaken ourselves.
  5. How can one person need so much money? Joyless cunt.
  6. Fucking weirdo freak, going to a proper club.
  7. Hope he waltzes through Colo and Williamson, in a few weeks, scores a blinder, runs up to Pardew and reveals a MYM t-shirt. Then turn around and give him the finger, just for good measure.
  8. I used to think it was odd that people hated him so much that they wanted him dead. Now, I'd do it myself.
  9. Steven Taylor is still here :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
  10. Matterface I've not forgotten this tweet he sent out “for 430 ish….xxx mIss you sexy lady with the most gorgeous face in the world… and the sexiest boobies I have ever seen…. so hot xx”
  11. Glad he's going to a proper club, like. He's got a lot of talent, just needs a run of games and a manager that believes in him. Not our fucking shit plank.
  12. Away games are better suited to his shit tactics, I think we'll actually win a couple of them...
  13. Thrown into the deep end, and then some. It'd be nice if Pardew told him to get defenders on the turn rather than having to be the bloke that constantly has to show for the ball and try to play teammates in from dinked long balls. de Jong should be the link man but he was seemingly told to push right up, yesterday. He displayed a great touch and acceleration at one point in the second half., if he's going to be a success here, we're going to have to play to those sorts of strengths. That means a proper game plan would be needed, though, so expect more aimless shit for the foreseeable.
  14. Spot on. This is why now Pardew is truly f***ed. Yep. I mean, Cabella is a very different player to Ben Arfa, he's a wide man in the same sense as Silva, Nasri or even Mata (at Chelsea). He requires a bit of thought to get the best out of as he's not the type that's just going to get the ball and beat loads of players.
  15. He's best coming into that space. Could be a neat tactic to have Riviere play the channels, de Jong pushes up and Cabella drifts in to the hole. Would need to encourage movement and would leave gaps, though, so won't happen.
  16. I do despair, like. Cabella was an incredibly effective player at Montpellier, he's not just some daft show off. He's not Ben Arfa in terms of dribbling but there's plenty of good in his game, both on the ball and off it. As usual, we need to play to his strengths and not allow him to be doubled up on. Let him drift and give him support and he'll create and score plenty.
  17. Positioning was rubbish, as was Sissoko's. Neither plugged defensive gaps or got forward much.
