  1. Her family are loaded, like, she owns Poppys in Ponteland now. She was canny enough in school, just a bit boring and plain. Awful thing to do to her, mind, she's pretty harmless.
  2. Didn't he end up complaining about the style of football, in the end? It was either him or Ba, I'm sure, talking about too many long passes and all that.
  3. To be fair, his Boro days were a long time ago. It might be the case that he's learnt from his experiences and has changed his outlook. Either way, he really shouldn't be our first choice. Garde :'(
  4. His celebration when Sissoko scored What a fucking gimp.

Charnley's been making teas and coffees for everyone, just like before he was promoted to the ridiculous position he's in.
  6. This, unfortunately. If they did it now after all the fuss of the other day, they'd get hammered for it. PR 101 to let things cool down, everyone forgets about it and they subtly just carry on with the same old shit.

He'll be licking the tears off his window, the prick.

My brother had some coaching sessions with him as a youth 20 years ago and said he was shit. He was apparently a total arsehole too.
  9. I've been impressed with Ings' ability, whenever I've seen him. He's done some really smart bits of play that require a good level of vision and imagination. They've almost always been in tight spot situations in and around the box too.
  10. I'm sure HTT once said the slope was 15 metres
  11. There needs to be a proper connect between recruitment and management. There's no hope in our 'strategy' if the players we buy just don't suit the style of play the manager wants. Above anything else, we need a fucking good 'head coach' to come in and get us enjoying our football again. Then, a shit load of players that actually come to fit a place in the squad, rather than potential resale value.
  12. Was nice to see us play with some actual balls, for once. Pressed up the pitch (Anita) and got some numbers forward. So much work needs putting in for next season. All I heard on Total Sport was about spending on players, but a good manager in would be the best move we could make. I'm not holding my breath. Jonas

He'd get away with it, IMO. Managers seem to have a strange immunity from our fans. By and large, it's players and owner, the manager just gets sympathy
  14. HBA would've certainly made a difference. Direct wingers of his ilk are an absolute necessity in our current set up because we don't coach a team game, we need his sort that can rise above the lack team strategy and just do things on their own (even if it's once every 5 games). Invariably, these sorts of lads tend to cost a lot of money, though, so we've shot ourselves in the foot. I do think he lost a little something after his 12/13 injury, but he'd have still made a difference.
  15. How's it bluster, man? His whole career has followed the same general pattern with there being an exception or two where he didn't even have his famed 'good start'
  16. Well, his last 2 and half seasons for us were pretty dire, so...
  17. Ayoze was quiet because we did little to support his game, as per. It's amazing our coach doesn't even consider this, he'd rather blather on about arbitrary shite.
  18. And to think he's been orchestrating our attacking play for 5 years We don't do anything, like, you're right. It's just direction-less rubbish. Nobody moves anywhere, no support for forwards, static midfield that magically disappear when we get countered, rarely get centre halves on the turn.
  19. Obviously fucking shit delivery, but look at the pitiful presence we had in the box there, man.
  20. Same old shit, really. Barely any link up, no attacking coordination, massive holes in midfield and terrible defending.

    Emre

If anyone can do it, Emre Can.
  22. I think this is always going to be the case with our wide players, tbh, unless they're really good (not that we're not massively short of quality in that area). We saw it with Ayoze yesterday, he'd beat someone then have nobody within 15 yards of him to pass to. We have the age-old issue of barely anyone in the box arriving with any pace as well. There were times yesterday where our attacking 3 were going forward but the 3 midfielders were standing within 10 yards of each other around the centre circle. The result was wide players doubled up on with about one person to aim for in the box. We pretty much only see midfielders in the box when full backs are overlapping, which is often a pretty slow play with the opposition back and organised. Yesterday was better but it just, once again, shows how much of an utter shambles we are overall.
