The Pards hating comments he's got on Instagram have probably spurred the scamp on.

Aye, 1?

It'd be refreshing if they won, for sure, I'd love them to come out on top as they deserve it. I don't even like them as a club and find Rodgers a sycophantic, repugnant arsehole.
-
Think they've blown it now. I reckon this is Rodgers' peak too, for some reason, fancy him to be gone by this time next year.
-
He's an absolute master at shutting up shop, like, the sides are drilled so well. Will never agree with his 'philosophy' but I can't help but love him.
-
Why's he being compared with Tiote? They're not similar players. One's a holding, defensive midfielder and the other isn't.
-
Will still probably end 2-2

Exactly the same as this one, cagey. Yeah, but I mean will Jose just park the bus again or will he look to take control of the game. Atletico imo are better when playing on the counter so Jose might be wary to take control but at the same time, he knows he needs to win the match unless he fancies another 0-0 and then pens. He won't park the bus like tonight but he's not going to go for it. I think both teams will be pretty cautious, Atleti are great on the counter but I expect that they'll be a little more reluctant to have as many breaking forward as they usually would in the league.

Martinez didn't really go a great job at Wigan, when you consider Steve Bruce had them in 11th in 08/09. He shouldn't be hugely respected for keeping them about as perennial relegation scrappers. If I recall correctly, he did spend some dosh on real dross while there too.

Purely depends on what you want for the manager. I'd quite like to see this club actually build itself up into something consistently good, I'd have far more confidence in Moyes creating that platform for us in our current state than Martinez. If I was basing it on more short-term stuff and wanting instantly entertaining football, I'd choose Martinez.
-
In the context of building a good Premier League side, there's only one proven one. Alex McLeish won a trophy, is he more proven than Moyes?
-
This has become very overplayed like. Look at Everton's team this season. No one outside the back 5 was a regular(for a few years) under Moyes, no one. The back 5 - yeah sure they are a good unit. 2 decent CB's and GK with Jags, Distan and Howard and two quality attacking full backs. So a decent foundation there for sure. Not a "fantastic spine" though. Without some very, very shrewd loan-signings and promotion of Barkley by Martinez ,Moyes' squad was looking pretty f***ing s*** after the sale of Fellaini. Fair enough, 'spine' is probably the wrong term for it. I'd say the defensive foundations he laid and the legacy he left, particularly in terms of attitude, were fantastic and about as good as Martinez could have inherited. I think that players in that back 5 will orchestrate a lot of the on-field defensive stuff. They've got some proper leaders back there as well as defenders.

Shame that Ramsey suffered that injury, think Arsenal would still have been in with a huge shout had he not been out for so long.
-
Everton were decent to watch in Moyes' latter years, IMO. They were often direct but I like to see that in teams.
-
Whoah there, non-fashionable opinion alert. Damn straight. I'm sure the point's been made on here before but Martinez has inherited an absolutely fantastic spine and foundation that was laid by Moyes, particularly defensively. Martinez may well be better but he's not really proven it over a period of time, my sneaking suspicion is that when it comes to him having to buy his own defenders then his teams will struggle more. Edit: I think someone like Moyes is actually a better fit for us in our current state than someone like Martinez. He'd drill a great attitude into the team and help build a platform for someone else to take on when it comes to challenging for the higher levels. Moyes has a ceiling as he's limited by his attitude. Martinez is much more positive and has ideals that are a better fit for more ambitious sides, I'm just unsure he really has the proper skills to bring it all together, that's something he's yet to prove.
-
Would snap my own hands off for Moyes, to be honest. He's a better manager than Martinez, in my book, who's still got a lot to prove.
-
Hoddle's supposed to be a great coach but an utterly deplorable person. John Beresford said he was the biggest dickhead he'd ever come across in football.
-
Klopp at Man U would be sickening. Hasn't Reus been linked with a move to them this week? Would be awful if they were both there. Reus would absolutely tear this league apart, he's totally made for it.

Feeling like a neutral and looking forward to seeing Ozil, to be honest. He looked like the player that we saw for the first third of the season, yesterday, one that will absolutely rip mediocre sides to shreds. -
Steve 'slow-mo' Harper.
-
Ozil's looking much sharper. Seems to have some acceleration that was missing over the winter.
-
Dan Gosling-esque.
-
Lovely.

And the mini-cycle re-emerges. Still think they'll go down but cracking result for them.
