  1. This'll be a tight game. They have injuries but obviously something works well for them at home. Have a feeling that we could sneak a 2-1.
  2. If only that pinger from the edge of the box had gone in - ridiculously crisp strike. Was right behind it and looked destined to be a goal but for a fantastic block.
  3. I'll be canny happy if we see Shelvey in their starting midfield against the legs of Willock et al.
  4. Howe confirmed he's playing through some pain at the moment. Not sure he'd be starting if Big Joe wasn't out. For all his talent, he's a proper fighter above all else. The backheel for that corner move was absolutely insane. The vision to do it but then the perfect weighting for a backheel through ball that late in a game.
  5. Yeah, definitely some switching between him & Bruno to presumably try and get the latter on the ball more. I think Wolves were doing the midfield box tactic pretty well to limit passing options into him for periods of the match.
  6. He got a bit of a second wind for a few minutes before he came off but there was a short spell towards the end of the first half where he was barely moving
  7. His goal return is astonishing considering what we've seen in the years prior. I thought he'd improve under a better manager but it's still nuts - this is the lad who was struggling to get them on target nevermind looking like scoring. Super pressing when he came on as well. We're not blessed with lots of wing talent but we have some fantastic willing runners there.
  8. The best thing about his performance yesterday was that he didn't really have many phases where he was passive/not looking to get involved. So far this year, he's been good but quite bursty in games. Maybe that suits his physicality more overall but it felt like he really made an effort to step up with Joelinton out and Wolves giving Bruno so much attention.
  9. Got real potential to become a pressing freak with those legs. He also does this thing sometimes when the defender has the ball he then starts to jog into an angle and then suddenly hammer it after them in no time. Been a big Wilson fan but he's just nowhere near the same level as a footballer.
  10. His pressing is elite but his defensive work in the middle of the pitch does need work and is where I think we missed Joelinton a bit. Still, he was relentless and took responsibility so often.
  11. Agreed. I like him but he felt like a weak link in the trio today, struggled to get into it for quite long stretches and seemed to get caught defensively too.
  12. Played well but I'm not sure he's 100%, his running style seemed a bit awkward at times and he seemed reluctant to open up?
  13. Some absolutely superb movement from him in that cameo.
  14. Played some magical passes (couple of easier ones he just missed) but this was a tough holding fort game for him. They do have some terrific midfielders and could easily rotate in-game.
  15. That was a really tough game for the midfield considering they knew they'd play the full game while Wolves rotated (good) options. Think that's why we sat off a bit to manage legs where we could.
  16. Sensational for about 40 mins and then gassed out a bit. Has so much to his game.
  17. Filled in for Joelinton so well. Energy for days.
  18. Whether he should've started or not is very much up for debate, but the removal as him as a bench option is a blow, like.
  19. Judging by the stats, it looks like Chelsea have been a bit lucky.
  20. We had a very congested fixture list for a while so we might've tried to preserve legs and reduce the press. Does feel like we had the ball a lot in games against the likes of Fulham & Palace too so less natural opportunities to chase.
  21. Can't remember the rules on clip posting from unofficial sources but there's a great little comp on Twitter of his link-up with Odegaard. One touch dreaminess.
  22. Doesn't make sense unless he's picked up another niggle or he feels he's not fit enough for the pressing game. He said after Bournemouth that Isak came through the 90 minutes no problem.
  23. Some really nice stuff in there. Seems like we've been leaving ASM higher and wider to help with isolation on the switch where possible. He's had plenty of touches in games he's started recently but it's not really amounted to much; personally, I just feel like he tries to cut inside to work a shot way too often even when the obvious space is on the outside. I want Targett back in the team but didn't think it was a game changer - on this evidence, having him against 'weaker' sides is a biggie to meet our general gameplan as he has a decent early cross on him. I like the bit about overloads which then give us a natural presence in the box after the switch. Feels like if we had a wide forward on the right side who can attack crosses in the box then that'd be a help.
  24. Watched the Arsenal 21/22 highlights back. Feel like shit, miss him so much.
