It's because he's being released that we're doing it now, I'm sure he's not our only potential signing. All the other left backs are too busy playing football to come here for a trial.
-
I used the predictor to put in what I think are the most likely results for every game left. I gave Newcastle far worse results than I expect though - draws (Watford away, Blackburn at home), the rest defeats. GD PTS 12. City -18 42 13. Sheff Utd -23 41 14. Villa -9 40 15. Toon -11 39 16. Wigan -21 38 17. Fulham -20 37 18. Charlton -27 37 19. West Ham -37 27 20. Watford -35 22 Even if we don't get those two points, we'll probably stay up on goal difference anyway. And can anyone honestly see us losing every single game we have left? Incidentally, I put in some results for us that I think we can achieve if we get our act together. That puts us in 8th place for a probable intertoto spot on 52 points.

If he signs, he won't be joining us until after the end of the season.
-
It's just you. We have just as many.
-
What exactly doesnt make sense you stupid fuck? Re-read your post.
-
That's all we are though. I think when Roeder said he wouldn't sign anyone over 25, he meant pay big money for them. A free transfer's a bit different, and remember, this is only a trial.

Did you watch the start to our season when we were stuck on 7 points and in the relegation zone? We were in a much worse situation then, but we found some form and managed to make our way into the top half of the table. We've been playing badly, but we're not the only ones, there are lots of teams playing terrible football in the league. Us going down would mean that everyone below us has to start playing fantastic football and winning, which just isn't going to happen.
-
Do you mean the same Portsmouth who's recent form is as bad as our own? And Reading have only taken 1 point from the last 4 games. We've beaten Reading once and Pompey twice this season already, and some of our best performances have been against Arsenal and Chelsea.
-
I'd play Given Solano Moore Gooch Taylor Milner Parker Emre Duff Dyer Martins
-
I'm not really sure what you're trying to say here. Martins has never played for us in a 4-3-3, so I can't see how he's ten times better than one of the best strikers of the last decade.
-
I use Betfair, seems to have better odds on practically everything.
-
Moore's not that shite compared to the rest, he actually had a pretty good game against Man City. If he could string together more than a game and a half in a row, I'd try and hang onto him.
-
YEAH! Alternatively I'd take Wenger, Ferguson, Rikjaard or Mourinho! Let's be honest, we've got about as much chance of getting him as we have any of them.
-
The squad needs to basically be rebuilt from scratch. He knows what he's doing and would be an excellent choice to take on that responsibility.

I'm going to be boring and pedantic now because I study medicine and have had glandular fever myself. The effects do not last this long. The average length of time to be displaying symptoms is 3-4 weeks, in rare cases it can be a few months. It can take a while to get full fitness after recovery because it drains you physically and leaves you constantly fatigued, but this is also uncommon, maybe it happens in 2-3% of cases. In any case, Parker wouldn't be showing any of the fever's symptoms except tiredness. IF Parker was still suffering from GF, there's no way he'd be playing. There's such a high risk of spleenic rupture, the doctors would never clear him.
-
Glandular fever never leaves the body. But it stays in a dormant state, which is why you can't get it more than once. Dormant means it doesn't have any adverse effects, it just sits there doing nothing.
-
You do realise he had glandular fever over a year ago don't you?
-
Blackburn, Bolton, Everton, Fulham, Middlesbrough, Tottenham and Newcastle were the only teams to apply.

Let's assume for a moment that every club was to finish in the position they are now, and that the FA Cup final was between Man Utd and Chelsea. 1. Man U - 78 CL 2. Chelsea - 72 CL 3. Liverpool - 57 CL 4. Arsenal - 55 CL 5. Bolton - 50 UC 6. Spurs - 48 UC 7. Everton - 46 UC 8. Reading - 44 9. Pompey - 43 10. Blackburn - 40 Intertoto 11. Newcastle - 37 So Europe isn't really that far off, as long as we can finish in the top half we should be there.
-
Because we could still qualify for the UEFA cup if we came 7th (depending on the FA Cup final), and then there's the Intertoto. We could actually finish 10th and still get a place in that.
-
I voted no because I clicked the wrong box by accident. If anything, I see the gap getting greater than closer.
-
They should play the Benny Hill theme whenever Bramble gets the ball.
-
Van Der Sar was good for Fulham and didn't get the praise he deserved there. He's a great keeper.
-
Since the league was reduced to 20 teams, the only club to go down with 42 points was West Ham. Guess who was managing them at the time.
-
Fuck, I've lost already. Damn you Dundee.
