  1. Being like that is what gets him erect so he isn't going to change.
  2. The 'every penny generated' quote is so deliberately ambiguous. In my opinion, it seems clear that Ashley is going to back as little as he possibly can. Should be some interesting quotes from Rafa over the coming days and weeks.
  3. Run out of superlatives to describe him.
  4. We've all said the same thing too many times now, it's fair to assume that the mentality is never going to change.
  5. Yet will be remembered by non Man City fans as being the precious cunt who had a hissy fit because Man City never wished him Happy Birthday

    On this day...

    Unbelievable day.
  7. No. He basically said that things are ongoing. The quotes look way more downbeat than the way he delivered them, imo. Rafa was very upbeat while the Staveley talks were ongoing and that didn't end well. It's Groundhog Day as far as I'm concerned. Gimp got it spot on:
  8. That good run that Swansea went on seems like a lifetime ago now. Can't believe they are on the brink of relegation.
  9. Stifler, man. Ashley isn't selling. Stop trying to get people's hopes up.
  10. For them to win the same amount of CL's as Man Utd, despite Man Utd's domestic dominance of the 90's and 00's would be crazy. Haven’t they won 2 more already? I was thinking about CL's specifically rather than incorporating the old style European Cup as well.

  12. Canny Emirates send off for Arsene.
  13. It seems like the team in 3rd rarely goes up via the playoffs. Especially if they’ve been in a race for the second promotion place with the hit to morale losing out on that brings. We know only too well
  14. Wow. Bolton. Amazing comeback.
  15. It's been a wonderful season for Wolves but it'll niggle to finish on 99 points.
  16. He's been stuck in his Liverpool bubble all his life. I'm not convinced he's got the experience to be starting at a club the size of Rangers. Essentially Rangers in the Scottish Prem would equal an English League One club these days, no? Just tons of people still attending their games. Don't see it as too big a challenge, all he needs is to finish second and job's a good'un. Plus, if he can't finish second in that league with a club like Rangers, he'll just prove to be utter shit. On a purely footballing context, i'd probably agree. With his football knowledge, there aren't many reasons why he couldn't do a reasonable job. My thinking was more handling being manager at such a big club and being able to handle all the politics that come along with it. He's spent so long being treated like a god and more than likely (nearly) always getting his own way, this is going to be a hell of a challenge for him.
