I think I would like Arsenal to win it so that Arsene can stick 2 fingers up at his critics but conversely, I dont want them to win it because of their ungrateful wanker fans who thought it was justifyable to boo them off the pitch last week.

Not great news for whats is left of this season or more importantly next season... whichever divison we might be playing in

It was Dave Beasant. Little Mira... still remember his winning penalty at the Kop in '88 - he celebrated by holding the badge on his shirt , and skipped away in front of the scousers, while being pelted by coins - fences in place at the time of course.... Class!! I was at Anfield that day. Fucking class day it was.

That documentary lookslike it could be decent It does mate. I'll be tuning in. What documentary is that lads ? Brian Clough one on ITV. Don't think it said when it'd be on. Cheers DD. Shall definitely look out for that one

Another great post HTT. Agree especially with the final paragraph.

What a sad entictment on this whole club that the one time the system appears to have worked perfectly... Keegan's name and reputation being a draw for the player, Keegans eye for a player having watched him, Wise and the rest of the directors for the negotiating etc, yet the fans still cant agree. Even sadder is that some dont appear to be able to accept that Keegan had a part to play in it. Grim days.

What a goal by Tevez
-
I hope he actually sang his song to the interviewer and didnt just quote the words

I don't know if you've noticed, but they're fucking shit too. Don't be blinded by a good result against an awful away middlesboro team. Very winnable, although I wouldn't have considered us favourites. I just think we have failed in so many other "winnable"games this season that I dont think we can label any of the remaining fixtures the same (the Stoke game still pisses me off)

He didn't leave us in the lurch in 1997, whatever the rights and wrongs of his departure. True enough, i only asked if he was right to do what he did. Interested in what people have to say about this, as the 'man of principle who had no choice but to leave' must have left the last time for the same reasons. I do love a bit of historical revisionism. I guess from my point of view I don't/didn't mind so much if his reasons for leaving us were bollocks back then as he left us in a good situation which he'd built up over several seasons. I cried, soft shite that I am, in 1997. I was just fucking angry this time around. But angry with everyone, not just him. I'm asking people like Robster and many others on here that insist that Keegan had no choice but to leave if thats why he left the last time? Because he was wrong in 1997, history tells us that. I must admit I am not really looking that deeply into whether he was wrong or right to leave. All I can say is that if Keegan felt it was right to leave then I am prepared to accept that - as devastating as it was to have him leave in '97. I just dont feel that he owed it to me, personally to stay because he "loved" me as a fan. I just cant go along with the angle of "how could he leave the club if he loved it that much" like he doesnt get affected by things at work like the rest of us. Probably over simplistic I know

I must admit this bothered me last night. Fans saying things like that Slugsy baffles me a little bit. It comes across that it doesnt matter if Kevin Keegan was pushed to the point where he didnt enjoy coming to work every day, but you feel pissed off at him because he didnt hang around, just to make you happy. I wouldnt expect anyone to stay in a job if they were unhappy - just for my sake. Whether its my brother or Kevin Keegan, if he is unhappy, he has to make a decision based on how he alone feels.

I cant imagine looking back on this season having been beaten 3 times by Hull City
-
So true. After every defeat, a whole bunch of people say "all we have to do is beat....." when the reality is there is nothing to suggest we can suddenly start picking 3 points up from fixtures against similarly positioned teams. I could cry at that bit in bold.

The fella on Talksport said it was Steven as well. He should know better as well.... aaaaaahhhh cant think of his name.. used to work for NUFC.... EDIT : Graham Courtney
-
It must have for me because despite our perilous position, I dont yet feel the need to try and follow a whole load of daft superstitions like I did last year (only wearing lucky shirts on a match day etc etc) I think I just feel prepared to accept whatever comes our way this season

Not the worst score in the world that really. Desperately wanted Boro brought back down to earth after that win against Liverpool
-
If the results stay as they are then Manu don't need the points as much.... Oh they will. They will want to win this league knowing that Liverpool had a good lead yet they still finished 10, 11,12 etc points behind his Man Utd team. In some respects, these results tonight might spur Fergy on more. The man and his teams are relentless.

WBA 0-1 Arsenal (Bendtner)
-
I am not quite sure Liverpool have ever recovered either
-
Sadly the trend more recently seems to have clubs relegated from the Premier League languishing in the lower reaches of the Championship. Looking at the table now, its a bit like a graveyard for former Premier league clubs. Birmingham managed to come straight back up a couple of seasons back but I think that was a rarity. Scary times lay ahead

This comment is a bit late I know but I have only just had my first glimpse of that camera angle at Wembley. Its awful. Great choice FA/ITV

I tend to think footballers are completely oblivious to the world around them
