  1. Me. Pure jealousy as I wish Newcastle could be half as successful. But more than that, couple of years ago they still manage to win the Champions League when undeniably average (well above average in Premiership terms but average in terms of Champions League quality). That year it was Gerrard - this year Torres. Every other average team I know, dont win the competitions they are involved in.
  2. I dont think we should under estimate that Liverpool have played well and have pressed Arsenal this 2nd half but you just know that most teams, even when playing well, dont get things to go their way like Liverpool do. I am sure Liverpool fans will say that it was "our driving spirit" that took us straight up the other end but fucking hell, the lucky cunts. And now its going to be the obligatory 0-0 over 210 minutes with Chelsea before they go through on Penalties.
  3. Please dont tell me Riise paid for that haircut
  4. I cant believe Arsenal score a wonder goal and then blow is within 10 seconds
  5. Theo Walcott....... FUCMING HELL... How brilliant was he ?
  6. Adebayor has been poor all night - some of his first touches have been awful. He had time to control that, pick his spot and smash it. Difference in the 2 Centre Forwards.
  7. Part Nigerian, part Scottish, part cheetah. Bloody hell. Where in the ground would you put him
  8. Quality. Tylesdley proclaims that Hicks and Gillette are not here as they would have proved a distraction. Camera immediately focuses on George Gillette in the Directors box. Priceless
  9. Couldnt they have been more upfront about it and been very blatant about the fact that they were aiming it at Asians/Muslims. Going with the angle that there had to be some untapped and wasted talent within the British Asian/Muslim community, if they encourage more to get involved in playing football and coming to football matches then that talent will come to the surface. Surely nothing wrong in making sure that every avenue of the british population is scoured to find the best footballers we have. What religion/origin is Agbonlahor ?
  10. Aye. Gerrard Free-Kick here we come
  11. Typical. Arsenal take the lead and play some of the most eyepleasing and technically brilliant football this country has ever seen (and in the heat of this match that is very impressive) Liverpool score from a fucking set-piece. Where's the fucking justice. Arsenal went to sleep mind. Poor defending and it was a great header.
  12. Judging by a previous thread, Jimmy Bullard was a preferred transfer target
  13. He looks a twat, doesn't he? He reminds me of that bloke out of Tony Soprano's crew. Name escapes me. Bloke with the glasses. No cap, mind. Oh man now you got me thinking... its me favourite programme... who are you talking about ? Must be Patsy http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8110/patsyparisixr1.jpg

  15. Just seen the press conference with Grant. Not sure whether there was anything sinister in the incident because he is just impossible to read. Didnt want to talk about it but I dont know whetehr thats just because it was a run of the mill training thing or whether he doesnt want to start anything because it could come out and blow up. Guy needs some kind of a personality
  16. Tony Pulis looks like he should be managing a school team - take the fucking cap off when your getting interviewed by the telly man.
  17. Palace 2 up at Stoke at Half time. Fair play to Warnock. Getting them up toward the play offs. Seems capable of doing a job at Championship level
  18. Would be happy with that + a decent performance with a handful of decent chances created.
  19. Big factor will be how Portsmouth's mentality will be affected having got to the cup final. I cant decide whether its more likely that their players will take their foot off the pedal so as to ensure not getting injured badly between now and the cup final or whether they will double their efforts to make sure they make the team. Either way, with the 2 sides current style of play and confidence, has the potential for being another decent game. I fear for them being too physical for us.
  20. http://football.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,,2270257,00.html Then the way that it reads he is an idiot. He should have expanded on why he pinpointed Newcastle (again, assuming that he didnt). He may have been referring to Barton but without explaining his comment, it does make him look a totally ignorant twat. Hopefully KK will put the article on the dressing wall for next seasons fixture against Blackburn. He is right of course, the idot kids at school always responded brilliantly to strict teachers and punishment
  21. The guy is an utter cunt of the highest order. Another one letting the Spurs result get to him.
  22. What makes you say that? His piece in the Observer Sport Monthly today goes on about how he likes his manager to be a disciplinarian and that a manager should be like a school teacher. 'You need leadership from your manager, players have to be controlled, if they're not it's a disaster. Look at Newcastle.' He obviously hasn't got a fucking clue about what really happens up here. Hmmm. A very odd thing for someone to say. I would like to know what was exactly said compared to what made it in print. He might have made a specific reference to Joey Barton (for example) in the actual interview but the journalist decided to omit the specific information; hence making Bentley look a bit of a twat (trying to cause a rift between club and player to scupper possible transfer?) I dont know. Its just seems odd for even a footballer to come out with (and we all know they aint the brightest sparks at the best of times)
  23. Many people wrongly point to Batty's arrival as having had a negative impact on the balance of KK's side and with it affecting our ability to win the title, but he was class in the period when he signed all the way to the end of that season, displaying something he rarely got credited for - his passing abilities. I really changed my opinion of Batty when he we signed him. His passing was excellent. I think its a good point to highlight Butt's previous successes at Man U. He could easily just take his money and see out the rest of his career but he does show signs that he really wants to put every effort into being a success at Newcastle.
  24. Agreed. Has a bit of a topsy turvy career up here but under Kevin, had he been a few years younger, could have been the new David Batty (who I felt was class under Keegan)
