According to Spurs' OS, there are 13 British players in the first team squad. There would have been 14 earlier in the day but Gardner has now gone. According to Newcastle's OS, there are 9 British players in the first team squad. Add Guthrie to that, 10 in total. Give it another 2 seasons and look at the figures. I am not following your squad in any great depth so i accept if I am wrong but it seems fairly plain to me that he is going along similar lines as Rafa Benitez and filling his squad full of mainly foreign players.
  2. I don't think he's great, just a bit better than Taylor. If we are replacing him with a better player who we don't know about yet then fine, otherwise £2m is pointless. But if his head is in a place where anywhere (in this case apparently Stoke) is a better option than Newcastle, is putting him on the pitch going to have any kind of positive affect at all or will it just bring the team down on the day? Facing the likes of Man U and Arsenal, unless we go out with every player completely on top of their game, we are knackered before a ball is kicked. I always think in this case a player under contract should only be allowed to move if the deal suits us. If we have a better replacement lined up fair enough. If not we should be asking for more than £2m. Agreed that if the £2mil figure is correct then thats scandalous. I choose not to believe it. The club havent disclosed any of the prices for the incoming lads so I would be sure to think they would want to make sure that any selling prices arent disclosed too. However, if KK is saying that the only players wanted at the club are players that understand Newcastle, the fans etc etc, the I would guess that if Faye is some kind of bad influence then it would suit us to ditch him.

  4. So we all now think he is great yet the people who work with him and train with him every day dont gave a clue ? They wouldnt just off-load without knowing what they were doing or without a just reason. Have a little faith please.

With the squad he is building at Spurs I dont think English is a requirement anymore is it
  6. Is it just me that thinks that if Faye thinks a move to Stoke is a worthwhile career move then he isnt worth a light to us anyway. Obviously doesnt give a shit about Newcastle if he and his agent think that this is a great move. Fuck him.
  7. What a shame we where all going to club togethr and buy you a Rolex but it's your choice. I'll just spend the fund on some ales. Bollocks. Me and my mouth
  8. Blackburn rejected the bid. Just said on SSN
  9. Thats my birthday. Win'll do me for a present
  10. A little too much sauce last night me thinks
  11. I caught a glimpse of one of theirplayers walking off thepitch. Shirt doesnt half look like a Germany shirt
  12. For those of us without TV access, could someone keep the subject updated. Cheers
  13. No goals for him this season then. I wondered that. Smith MK II
  14. Best unveiling of a signing I have ever known. cant wait for the press reaction
  15. To this day it still warms my heart if I see Stevenage get thumped 5-0
  16. Still a good striker. Great first touch and finish. Championship is still his level now mind but still a good player
  17. What should have they done then? Bit difficult to play if the other team isn't there yet. You can hardly anticipate something like this. Should have started without them. Smith might have a chance of scoring then... well maybe not
  18. Fucking hell Sky, it was a friendly for fucks sake. Why insist on starting the report with "Newcastle threw away a 2 goal lead". Like its fucking important.
  19. The game that really boils my piss is the 1-1 when Andreas Andersson scored and Rob Lee got taken down deliberately by Solksaer when clean through on goal. Best chance we had to win there - what made it worse was the fucking standing ovation he got when he walked off
  20. Cant believe all the Utd fans are "delighted" that their number one player spent the summer not commiting to the club. Obviously some other reason to force his hand but I cant help but think that if I was a Man U fans, I would be looking at him in a diferent light. The guy obviously wanted out and for me is now just being kept there against his will.
  21. They are still way too strong for us. Still going to be a defeat but hopefully not the absolute trouncing we got last year
  22. Sounds like it will get the crowds rolling in on Wednesday night
  23. Assuming KK isnt brain dead, arent these friendlies at least good for confirming who shouldnt be any where near a Premiership squad ?
