I've not seen that tbh. Can't believe Cardiff are going to be in the final of an English cup competition. They should fuck off back to Wales imo. Only going off Alan Green on the radio. I know he's a tit like. He does realise that he isnt commentating on a Newcastle game doesnt he ?

in other news, a man has invented a wheel bollocks isnt it, thats the nature of the beast, pointless moaning about it. recently i've seen lots of people saying 'ok, i was too quick to judge keegan/owen and i hold my hands up'. thats totally admirable imo and to be applauded, and much better than a stubborn denial to change your mind given evidence, thats how you end up like allardyce. We've actually seen that more than we've seen the people CALLING for owning up, owning up themselves when THEY'RE proved wrong . Hypocrisy it's called. Just looking at Flairs comments, surely its only fickle if the comments come from one person. If they are all different then surely thats just differing opinions ?

Didnt think they were pestering so much but how the hell did Riley not spot the foul on Evra. Was pretty blatant even at normal speed. Even if O'Neill did get something on the ball (he was no where near), it was still a tackle from behind and a foul. Another quality decision by a ref May well have been a foul but the ref (rightly or wrongly) played on. They should get on with the game. Giggs gave the ref a mouthful. What are the odds SAF didn't see it? Oh aye they should have played on. Must admit I didnt see Giggs giving him a mouthful. I just saw him having a normal conversation with him. Carrick... oh dear. What was the point in trying the 80 yard hollywood pass. Cost them in the end - why not just keep possession.

What remains the great mystery for me is why they have written articles that seem filled with so much derogatory text. Fair enough, they may want to comment on the fact that to bring Kevin Keegan back may not have been a very good decision but its the way they word it - using phrases like "Disaster-in-Waiting", "Disaster-Movie", "Laughing-Stock" - that I cant get my head around. These are comments that you would expect to be made by petty opposition fans, not supposed award winning-journalists. Probably biased I know, but Kevin Keegan has always seemed very media friendly and not the type of character that would make enemies that would have resulted in this kind of vitriol. KK mst be applauded for not having risen to it and for maintaining his usual level of class throughout it all. I dread to think of what kind of articles were written by the people that didnt win these supposed awards won by Samuels.

I feel very torn over Barton When he got done just before Christmas I was livid and wanted him sacked and to be no where near a Black and White shirt ever again. I had had an argument with my Dad saying that he needed to be given the benefit of the doubt and should be judged from here on in (start of the season this was). My opinion then was hightened by that ridiculous interview Gabby Logan did where she just bleated on about his brother non-stop. Now though, we appear to be seeing glimpses of the player I was excited about signing. But still this thing hangs over his head and I am not sure what to think about him.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/sport/football.html?in_article_id=555810&in_page_id=1779 What is great about that article and headline is that Martins doesn't mention Allardyce in it Exactly. Wonderful example of how the press twist things

How's a failed manager a better pundit than one that's not tried like? You can only laugh when Peter Reid, Graeme Souness et al spout on like they've got a clue. Not sure how to explain it really. I can just take shit coming from thre mouth of an ex-manager better than I can from an ex-player.

Front page of The Sunday Sun!!!! Er, yep i know that. What i mean was does the story warrant a front page? A squad player from a few years ago and hardly a household name. The Sunday Sun regularly have negative front page headlines about Newcastle. It is and it isnt. I hate stories about people being accused of rape because if the accused is never found guilty, the air of it stays around them. Faye found guilty of rape is front page news. Until then, it shouldnt be any where near the newspapers

I am no fan of Phil Thompson either but at least he has been in the managers position (albeit as a stop gap when Houllier was unwell). At least he has been there at the sharp end so knows what its about. The rest of them, especially the prize knobheads on MOTD like Hansen and Lawrenson who sit an criticise like Trinny and Suzanna, are full of shit generally. I dont mind Le Tissier so much these days but on the whole I would prefer ex Managers on there

The passing is something that has grossly improved since Kevin's arrival. Some of Butt's long range passes to the left wing yesterday were excellent.
-
That took him past the full back before crossing for Pedersen..? Top Class
-
Thought yesterday and Spurs were particularly telling as usually his celebrations seem to be just about himself yet with the last 2 goals, he seems to have immediately pointed to and celebrated with, the makers of the goals (Viduka/Beye)

Yeah. Thats the same as me. My doubts were based around my sense that you should never go back. Was also 100% convinced that we were getting relegated. Fate/luck seemed to be conspiring against us and had me convinced.

That makes total sense really doesnt it. I get the impression that Ashley is an impulsive guy and can only see him getting sucked into Kevin's passion and desire to strengthen the side. Cant imagine Ashley as a penny pincher. EDIT : Just notice my Cant was in as a Can

All hail Alan Smith

Its a typo yet it seems correct when being used about Amady Faye

Allardyce would have hated this game. 2 teams with an offensive mentality, trying to play passing football, trying to score goals and trying to win the game. Credit to both teams for their attitude and tactics. Premiership needs both of us in next season. Maybe if Megson had brought Bolton to Newcastle to try and win, they may have had a bit of good fortune along the way and wouldnt be in the position they are in now. I havent followed Reading at all but if they have continued to try and play football, even through the period post New Year where they lost 8 off the belt, then safety is everything they deserve

He is a decent guy isnt he? I am sure he will give a much more balanced and honest opinion

3 wins has put us in the premiership for next year so I would say that has changed our fortunes somewhat. Petty, childish men.

Lets ring them up and ask when Sam got 3 wins off the belt or scored 4 goals away from home. Must be driving them nuts knowing we arent going to get relegated
