  1. Typical footballer. Probably assumed his agent was taking care of it. Need wet nursing these blokes
  2. So thats why he is on EVERY live Sky game these days !
  3. Agree with that, it's bollocks. Totally agree with Pearce on the matter too. I find it hard to agree with Pearce. I'm a bitter, bitter man, and I can't stand the cretinous oaf. He's right on this matter tho. But hey, stopped clock is right twice a day He was saying Hughes tried to pull Bentley out on wednesday. Seems like he is the one behind this. Not on at all. I'd insult him, but he's a former Manchester United player. I'm not sure I need to bother. Bentley and/or his agent is a prick to allow this to happen. Out of spite I hope this hinders him ever playing for the full england team. How the fuck can you pull out of a major tournament for your country ?? Tired FFS. Bet his parent are really proud of him tonight Be class if we won it anyway but doubly so for Bentley to hjave to watch the celebrations on the telly.. COME ON U21's !!!!
  4. Another good chance to see Sam decision making skills. We all agree it would be good for the lad. Lets hope SA does too
  5. Shit. Not got sound on my knackered old PC... whats the gist please?
  6. I think I remember thinking that if we didnt beat Portsmouth we were well and truly knackered. The goal probably gave us just enough confidence to go to Leicester and get something. Certainly dont want to take anything away from the Leicester victory either.... that was truly massive (werent they in the play offs that year?) but I like to think that Kelly's goal just gave us that nudge to go and win down there.
  7. I think its time we just moved onto another subject because all this speculation is just increasing that bad feeling towards him and if he does end up staying, we need to give him as much support ans every other player. We are as bad as the tabloids for second guessing what he is thinking
  8. I dont think I have known goal celebrations quite like it. Just a magic feeling even though it was a goal saving us from the abyss and not a championship winning goal. Was my hero from that moment onwards. Top Top fella
  9. I fly off to Florida on the mornign of the 14th. Anyone know what time they usually come out ? I fly at 11.15

    Wes Brown

I am not sure about him. I fear that he wouldnt be half the player once outside his familiar surroundings of Old Trafford. For some reason, to me, he never seems to have a confident look on his face. Always looks nervous to me
  11. Fucking hell. Even the FA Cup must fall over at Stamford Bridge when its touched !!! Mourinho's tactics strike again !
  12. Personally I think its a shame that bellamy is turning into one of those players that just gets passed from team to team. Granted a lot of it is his fault because of his attitude. I just think that its a tragic waste of talent when I think back to how good him and Shearer were together. I am sure he will look back on his career and realise what a knob he has been
  13. What drugs were the people at Sky on... what was it mant to have said ??
  14. I liked him as a player for us. He was just an unlucky victim of his injury combined with Glenn Roeder's special kind of management. Think he will do well at WHU
  15. He deserves legend status for scoring two of the most important goals in Newcastel's history. The winner at home to Portsmouth in the 89th minute, which pretty much kept us up. And, the 2nd at Grimsby, which guaranteed Promotion (and the championship?) the following season. As said above, only regret was he never got the chance to play in the Prem for us, after his goals helped keep us up, then got us up. Agreed. I have never felt elation like i did when that goal against Portsmouth went in. Closest I have been to crying at a football match; I was that happy. Giving me goosebumps now thinking about it
  16. I cant take all of this in. Its like I have been asleep for a few year. Cant believe what has happened in so short a time. Be good to know what is going to Glenns' mind at the minute. What a contrast in management
  17. I have never seen so many smiley's before.
  18. Bookies are wankers. I like to think that most fans dont think so daft. From reading post on hgere since Sam took over, I am pleased to hear that we all have a sense of reality about what toi expect from next season. Sad thing is this will sway the weak minded fans into thinking we have a chance of winning the thing
  19. I must admit I was very much an advocat of the "Dont renew" brigade because I felt it was the only way to try and get some change in the board room. Now, I am hopeful that everyone will re-new because I think a full stadium, coupled with all the new optimism and new players will be very good for the club. I wont be re-newing this year due to living away but most certainly would be if I was living back home
  20. I love the way Sam talks with great confidence and simplicity
  21. The journey is always more fun than actually arriving at the destination
