  1. Maybe it will take him a few years. After say 5 years of television, he may get bored and miss the day to day involvement of football too much. So long as he doesnt end up a smug twat who never put himself in the firing line like Alan Hansen.
  2. West Ham at home. Would like to give them a beating to let them see what life without Teves is going to be like
  3. Didnt Allardyce say that one of the reasons for coming to Newcastle was that he would have the resources and spending power that he never had at Bolton ( or words to that effect ) If so then the Ashley thing should only inspire him more. If, as we hope, he get extra spending money, Allardyce is going to have everything he dreamed of and hopefully should spur him on. DEFINITELY still the right man for the job.
  4. Its that funny, I am still laughing Fair enough. Apparently Arse-lick are just the parent company

    This thread is deteriorating fast

    Player name names.

Phil NEVILLE : Gary NEVILLE (gets their Dad)
  8. I dont know whether people are drawing a distinction between a coach and a manager here but I was always against Shearer becoming our Manager. I think learning to deal with players and team selection problems is a skill definitely best learnt at a lower level. I was never certain he had the right personality for it either. I would, however, be more than happy for him to be a coach on the training field and to be working with the team day in day out
  9. and that outweights any negatives that you can throw at him.
  10. If thats true, it is exactly why KK shoud still have some involvement at the club. he knows exactly what the place is about.
  11. I would like to see what Adidas could do with the England strip. Umbros' have been poor for a few years now
  12. I know it should be taken with a huge pich of salt but Alan Brazil on Talksport months ago was saying he was going to Arsenal
  13. I bet Bryan Robson is well chuffed at walking into all of this shit
  14. Is that when he missed that one on one after about 10 seconds of the new season at home to Sheff Wed ??

    Luke Young

Its about time we realised that top 4 level players arent going to be interested in us at the minute and would probably laugh at teh suggestion of signing for us. Especially if, under Sam, we are going to move away from the mentality of just throwing huge wages at players to get them here. For a short while, the likes of Luke Young are the kind of players that we are going to have to look at. Sometime I think people forget that from the outside, at the minute we are a just lower mid table team that are consistently in internal turmoil.

    Owen

Can anyone remember what Owen was saying publicly and to the press towards his time at Liverpool. Did he openly say he wanted away or did he just sit tight and keep his mouth shut about what he was doing ?
  17. Not sure whether we should go fo him Cant see him leaving London
  18. just switched over. Seemed a bit quiet. Why the fuck they were playing that bloody music so loud. Cant they just let the fans make the atmosphere ??
  19. I think this is more about Mclaren than Beckham to be honest. I think we all know that it was a symbolic decision to drop him as apposed to just dropping a poor player. To now re-instate him shows very weak management. Clock must already be ticking on McLaren's time as Manager. Does it not also send a message out to therest of the squad to say "your all shit without Beckham" Our National Squad is a fucking shambles
  20. McLaren is shit scared of the press and has brought Beckham back because he hasnt got the nuts to face should we happen to perform badly in the next game. He is probably hoping that if theylose, then the press will focus on beckham and not him. Massive pressure on Beckham to perform
  21. Keegan... maybe jst because he has done it on and off the pitch. tough choice
  22. I'd agree as manager but not as a director, he'd have a different role so it wouldn't be the same, Keegan being a player here didn't stop him doing a job as manager. Yeah... true. Be great having him around the club again
