  1. Got a bloody good reception for it too, fair play to him. The others that applauded from fairly far away were Cabella, Collback, Riviere, Sammy and I think Perez?

So refraining from acting like that constitutes a 'stab in the back'? Shut up. No, I meant more by agreeing with the fans. He's basically stood up for his mate. Why are their such double standards in football? We're allowed to call players, referees, managers and coaches whatever we like, but as soon as someone does it back we grab our handbags and cry about it? Bloody ridiculous. because he is being paid. Just as calling people c***s in an office setting is normally not tolerated, even if they deserve it. this is not two f***ers on the street. To be honest I'm so pissed off from being at the game today I think I'd probably argue black is white right now just with misplaced aggression This fucking club.

Agree it's not on, but there's no 'family zone' at away ends, parents who take their kids to games know exactly what kind of foul language their kids are going to hear. I heard the word 'c***' shouted out more times than I care to remember at the game today. Carver's only in the wrong for the fact he's done it in front of a kid, not for having a go back - loyalty should be commended, even if it is seerly misguided in this instance. Pardew gave him a job and he's not about to stab him in the back now. Even if he is a c***.
  5. Christ so glad I went to this. Amazing how he blames the fans when we looked so shit from the kick off we didn't have time to have a go at him before they scored. Absolute clown. The way he sets up his team just makes me want to forget football exists.

Some of our fans are fucking cunts, just because they're Newcastle fans doesn't make them immune to being people with low IQs and with questionable views on life.
  7. Thought aside from looking like a mentalist for the first twenty minutes, Delph actually looked half decent. Considering the options available to us, fair play to the lad for stepping up.
  8. As much as I like the kid, especially for his attacking attributes, he really need to learn how to head a football. Seems near enough every jump he makes is mis-timed and every contact would suggest his head is shaped like Obertan's.
  9. Gillingham pretty much kept 11 men behind the ball for most of the game which made is to turgid, but even that doesn't exude our lack of movement and ideas in the final third. The amount of awful crosses from vaguely promising positions was staggering. I'm also stunned then managed to find more than 15 seconds worth of highlights from that game.
  10. If football was all about passing it from one touchline to the other then hitting a crap cross we'd be champions of the world.
  11. Thought this was tomorrow which is normally fine, but I've got tickets for this and got back into Heathrow from a wedding from Italy about two hours ago. Have just tanked it across London to pick up the ticket from work and just make a train down to Gillingham which should pull in ten minutes before kick off. If this cup tie is anything like our FA Cup games against Brighton over the last couple of seasons I may turn into one of those gibbering bastard fans on Sky Sports News.
  12. Richards is as braindead as Taylor. Watch us crash out every cup at the first stage with these two running into each other.
  13. Time to gel? Wish someone would smother this cunt in gel.
  14. Yeah cheers for that Disco, echoes what a Forest mate said to me, especially the "stop stealing our players" bit.
  15. I don't think we have a better centre-back at the club than him, certainly not one who has proved it in a Newcastle shirt. We know his strengths and his weaknesses, his closing down can be fantastic sometimes and cost us at others as it did with the first goal today. I think probably best to give him more than one game this season before completely writing him off. Especially as we played the champions and most expensively assembled team in British football history.
  16. They probably asked Taylor to count out the months himself hence the confusion.
  17. One thing I did learn from this thread - the forum is a .org. I've had it as a bookmark for so long I didn't even realise. Other than that, candidate for worst thread ever. Kutgw.
  18. I still can't find it in me to hate him more than Souness for us. It's close and probably over this season it'll get closer.
  19. Wish I hadn't been watching the Liverpool game before this. Has just made it absolutely painful.
  20. Fingers crossed Pardew channels his inner Mark Robins for the first game.
  21. Given Radio Newcastle have 'Garden Mania' broadcasting when the game is on, assuming this isn't going to be on the radio anywhere?
  22. What is this? Basically throwing yourself into challenges/blocks, being very physically but in Taylor's very own 'headless chicken' style rather than Terry's 'I've won the Champions League' style.
  23. I'd say the general conciousness on here is a striker first and foremost, when I'd say a CB would be more of a priority now given the business we've done so far.
  24. Surprises me to keep reading people are desperate for another midfielder and striker when personally I still feel our biggest problem (other than Pards of course) is our inability to get the ball from the back to the midield. Partly it's because we don't have a goalkeeper who is particularly comfortable with the ball at his feet and partly because when Williamson or Taylor play we immediately have a player who is, in passing terms a bit of a liability. Seems like Mwbia has been written off by the management so it's an area that needs addressing. If Taylor is still firmly part of our first team we'll struggle - his poor positional sense and panic mode style of John Terry defending won't be doing us many favours.
  25. So he takes a job, and within a short period of time has his most important players sold behind his back - and you're having a go at him for being upset? Wonders never cease.
