Would rather Kinnear back to be honest.

Perfect stuff Wullie.

Ha, absolute bollocks. Love the fact our biggest 'threat', the man with a target painted on his face from set-pieces, "Iron" Mike Williamson is excluded entirely.
-
Would dread to think what his stats are if you take away penalties too. If my memory isn't too shot, was it Beardsley taking them in Cole's day?
-
Whoah whoah whoah. We have to play to our strengths and we're well aware in all fairness to Pardew, that keeping the ball, scoring or defending aren't our strengths.
-
Given's been promoted to a first team coach. Weird that as I thought Lambert had frozen him out a bit.
-
We've scored one goal in six games now. Pards should be gone because of that to be fair, or forced to start himself up front so everyone can boo his every touch.
-
Feel sorry for anyone who has already bought a ticket for any game left this season. Can't see us putting a performance together.
-
Should be about 7-0 already. Think I might watch the cricket instead.

Dummetts abut 6 years older though isn't he? Fans have still written off Campbell at 18 when he was here, so what difference does it really make? Some players can be late developers depending on how much football they play at a young level. The grief Dummett gets boarders on the ridiculous on here.

Bunch of very average players with a very average manager and average (home) fans. Away support is the only thing the club has to be proud of at the moment. Like a bloody library tonight and at the weekend (although the dross served up doesn't help). Players don't seem to give a shit and the ones that do probably aren't good enough to do anything about. Rest of the season is pretty much torture now. The fact our best player by a mile is a loanee bodes well for next season too.

We Would Be Confident Of Beating 3 Out Of The 4 Semi-Finalists.

I keep hearing this s***. no we didnt we got beat. we should have played the best 11 available- it was the only competition we were realistically competing in. The problem is, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't. Cardiff at home is a game near enough everyone expected to win even without a full strength side. You need to give the so-called squad players proper playing time else if a player is injured, how are they going to be up to speed to come in? Cisse was well out of form and this was a chance for him. If we pick our 'best team' for every game there's a chance you'll burn players out, a chance you'll pick up more injuries and also younger players (like Haidara) won't ever get a chance to develop in the first team. On the flip-side, we lost in a competition that we (as the fans) are desperate to do well. Even Pardew has to be aware of the discontent with our shocking displays in the domestic cups every year. I'm as p*ssed off as any other fan, I've given up on even caring about the FA and League Cups this year even from a football fan perspective as it's too depressing to see what could have been. Pardew gets hate from left right and centre and a fair amount of it is justified. But I'd be extraordinarily surprised if he's going out of his way to bomb us out of cup competitions. Really given our league season is practically over given we won't go down and unless a minor miracle happens won't make Europe, you could make a case of starting some of the prospects now. -
The article says "There was a time when it seemed that men in Newcastle jerseys were always roaming the streets of the city ready to be interviewed about the great issues of the day. They were on hand to give an opinion on the comedy double act Boumsong & Bramble or the sacking of Sir Bobby Robson. They now appear to have been cleared from the streets, pushed back into their homes by the poverty of Newcastle's ambitions." Surely that's a good thing right?

I'm pretty certain every Premier league club not in the hat is thinking the same thing. If Man City can lose to Wigan then (again) then anyone can beat anyone. We're well aware we were total crap against Cardiff but I'd argue the team he selected was strong enough to beat Cardiff should have played better. Elliott; Haidara; Mbwia; Taylor; Santon; Sissoko; Anita; Tiote; Ben Arfa; Gouffran; Cisse. -
Has Remy been sacked for his vicious headbutt on Bradley Johnson yet?
-
Didn't Pulis once attack one of his own players in the changing room? Not to mention the Laws/Bonetti incident. Fair enough these were behind closed doors, but bloody hell. All the outrage over this strikes me as a bit pathetic really.
-
I wish he'd dare by leaving just ONE MAN UP when we're defending a bloody corner.
-
I would have thought it's more about getting them to play the right way than winning games. If they can't hoof it aimlessly at Shola get rid.
-
I bloody hate their website, the amount of times I've opened a link to their website to be confronted by some shoddy advert or sound playing from some god-awful advert.
-
Do love the FA. Just when you think they couldn't get any more clueless, bang. Another fantastic example. We'll just have to move onto Johnson's retrospective ban for the 'Rivaldo-esque' feigning of injury. Oh wait. No. The game rewards cheats.

But when is poor old Dan Gosling going to get his chance? He's like a new signing.
-
Desperate for this kid to stay at least until the end of the season. Anything after that is a bonus. Contract or not, that's just modern football.

Was consistently outstanding at this club and considering the amount of shite all through his spell here, was amazed he stood for it for so long. Feel he left more for the medals but deserved a pay-off for the kind of money he got when he joined City. People talk about loyalty and use players like Giggs and Neville as examples - how loyal do you think they'd have been with Man Utd constantly changing managers, dropping down the league then appointing someone like Souness? Then, despite nearing your peak as a goalkeeper, you club going even further and appointing someone like Joe Kinnear? Finest goalkeeper we've had bar none in my lifetime. Hope he has a great spell at Boro and plays on for a few years yet.

Scott Parker. Some people may have been unhappy about how he left the club and his never ending turning circle, but certainly in his first season he was quality for us.
