Thought it was functional performance but a bit spoilt by Elliott especially smashing it aimlessly long far too often. Passing wasn't fantastic. It just had Pardew all over it. Just a bit like our kit, grey and drab.

One good thing about this, Rob Lee on the TV. Such a bloody lovely bloke.
-
Yeah, wide players offering no support to the full backs, centre of midfield congested with no options and the attackers completely and utterly isolated. It's like they found eleven random players outside the stadium and threw them onto the pitch together. I know it's pre-season but that was just awful.

I have no idea what position Sissoko is supposed to be playing. I'm guessing he has no idea either.
-
If there's ever been a performance worthy of Quest TV, this is it. So so bad. Half of them don't realise there's a game of football happening.

Taylor really is turboshit.

Was wondering how he'd get a work permit, but has an Italian passport. Seems like a shrewd signing. Here's hoping he's no Daniel Cordone.

There's so many rumours flying about, again it's one of those things that is impossible to judge without actually having been behind the 'closed doors'. I've read stuff as far reaching as that Ben Arfa punched Pardew last season. Given the way HBA has been treated you wouldn't entirely rule it out. Ben Arfa is always going to be more popular than Pardew, but it seems only a great manager will ever be able to consistently get the best out of him. We all know Pardew isn't that so that's that really. Only hope is that he's loaned out and Pardew is sacked, but the likelihood of that seems pretty bloody remote now. Would rather support the players we have got that are likely to feature than discuss one there's nothing any of us can do about. We'll always have the memories, especially the Bolton/Blackburn goals and how he ripped apart Villa. And how shit he was against Everton and I think Hull at the start of last season.

Jenkinson to Hull for £3m.
-
Just strikes me as a player who has always got a mistake waiting to happen (which you could probably say about all our CBs in fairness). Given he's unlikely to be first choice under Pardew, can see why Pards is trying to shift him given the high wages.

Definitely prefer the one in the Telegraph gallery to the one posted on here earlier with the V. -

Hate the V, hate the sponsor and hate the designer. Club badge is quite nice. -
Good one Chronicle. One was playing in the Premier League and the other the Eredivisie but they're pretty much exactly the same level of competition right?
-
A lot of speculation but given the majority of interactions have happened behind closed doors it's impossible to say. We all know Ben Arfa has had problems in the past and we know that Pardew is a massive tit but whether one is right or whether they're both wrong who knows.
-
Anyone who isn't Shola (and Cisse in his more recent form) is worth a shot. He may be our Sanogo or could end up more of a Saha (Fulham days). Given our lack of striking options don't see it as a massive risk.
-
Doesn't seem to be too much of a tit judging by his Twitter which is a start. Decent England youth record too.
-
Has the fact the clause is still active been confirmed anywhere?
-
Just sounds like we're being used by QPR to push the price up on Arsenal.
-
I wouldn't be completely against taking Jenkinson permanently as I think he's a fairly solid player with a future in front of him. I think he's the sort of player who'd still be committed even if he's on loan, but agree that we don't really want to be developing players for other clubs. Fully see the irony in saying that after selling Cabaye, Debuchy, Carroll etc...
-
Given the fact coming from City you'd expect him to ask for wages of £60k plus and the fact we've already got one brain dead centre-back who can't follow instructions, I'd probably pass. Some of the stories in regards to Richards intelligence or lack thereof do not fill me with confidence that he'd be the ideal answer to a new spine of the team.
-
With good management he could turn out to be the next Rob Lee. Ah.
-
Leeds supporting friend of mine just said: "He got top scorer in a terrible team so I can't hate on him and if anyone deserves a shot then he does. If he gets a few goals early on he could end up being a good signing. Though when he doesn't score he really doesn't, talking an 18 game spell!"

So is this one. http://static.guim.co.uk/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2011/9/28/1317211866583/Titus-Bramble-007.jpg

Don't blame him in the slightest. Out of contract, gave his whole (average) career to the club but at least got the chance to say to Dowd what everyone thinks on his last appearance. "F**k you you fat cheating c**t". Outstanding.
