Not good again today, needs to pick it up second half as so much of our game relates to how well he plays.

Looked like someone had told him to 'keep it simple' last night and he was much more effective, albeit still with the odd moment where he got caught on the ball.

Yeah ball watched, but played very well aside from that. We're so much better with him in the team it's ridiculous.

Tries as best as he can, but has too many shortcomings in his game.

Really not a fan of the fickle nature of football fans, especially on this forum. Voted 'Nay' even though performances haven't been up to scratch, not to mention the points haul has been disappointing. We've got a relatively thin squad which I don't think is entirely his fault, and don't think all of the bad performance blame lies at his door. Some of the players simply haven't been good enough this season, and although part of this is down to him and his tactics, definitely a chunk of the responsibility lies with the players. From his performance as manager since he took over from Hughton he's earnt the chance to put things right.

Him on the left, Santon on the right. Nobody in their right mind would suggest him forcing Santon out the side. Still has the same mistakes in his game he had with us (a bizarre ability to play an awful short-range pass giving away possession) but still a top quality fullback, even if he is short of confidence.

Would take him back in a heartbeat.

Walked through today with an impeccable performance. Top top player.

Has been unlucky with injuries this season and hasn't had a decent run in the side yet. Nearly every game he's played in he's been booted or landed awkwardly early on (Spurs and Reading come most obviously to mind). Think he needs a run of games and will be fine, can't believe how much criticism he's come in for today.

Panicked occasionally when he got quite far advanced but definitely a player to work with. Hope he makes it.

Just read one of the worst bias match reports I've ever read in my life in the Guardian, Rooney's name only mentioned eleven times. Thought we played pretty well but Obertan still turbo shit. Would rather still be in the hat but not crying to be out like that.

I saw him play live and he looked absolutely atrocious. In the past I've always had a soft-spot for our 'cult' terrible strikers (Andersson, Maric, Luque etc) but this guy I've got no time for.

you are allowed three. has been mentioned in here several times tbf somewhat defeats the purpose of the change It was so that if teams had players coming back from injury or just unfit that they'd still be allowed to have a run out. Personally think it's a much better system than what was in place before.

Surely the whole point of being a football fan is to support your team not abuse players on other teams? Bores me how much fans engage in 'banter' which is essentially just full on abuse then can't even support some of our more maligned players. I'm not Simpson's biggest fan but the amount of times he gets a 'you're still crap' after doing something well is a bit tiresome.

Signed for Besiktas, didn't he? Not sure, doesn't seem official or anything, just reports that they've agreed on terms etc. Anyway, just a thought. Was impressed with him last season. Has got a major attitude problem and seems to pretty much cause trouble wherever he goes. Think he wouldn't be the greatest influence for some of our players, especially those who are having a relatively calm spell in their careers *coughbenarfacough*.

Wouldn't it just be better if we all just ignored him so eventually he'd just go away?
