  1. Butt deserves credit for an above-average season for him, but I agree that it's obsurd to think he was our best player. Voted for Beye.
  2. I'd be happy with any option but Lennon. I don't rate him at all. I've always been a fan of Milner, though, so I'm partial to him.
  3. Do you figure Freddy Sears is wearing a kid's shirt?
  4. Allardyce is the thing that really sticks out to me. He nearly killed our club. Losing to Derby obviously stands out, as does the Portsmouth match when they thumped us in the first 10 minutes.
  5. Coming from where? I'd not advise wearing an oppo kit, there's some right nutters there. I've got my TFC shirt ready to go. And my trip is actually this Thursday for the match against NY. Oh the anticipation! If you wore an opposing kit, you might get the piss taking out of you a bit, but nothing seriously bad will come of it. They're into TFC, but they're good about it.
  6. I'll take a draw. I wanted a win, but this isn't a bad result. Also seems that Sunderland went clear of relegation. In a way I'm happy about that as well. More derby matches next year and all.
  7. http://www.footballshirtculture.com/images/stories/april0809/liverpool-08-09-adidas-home-kits.jpg Liverpool's keeper kit looks nice.
  8. I just got back from Toronto for the home opener. It was a great atmosphere and Robert played an excellent game. Rickets was ok as well. Robert has done wonders to improve TFC.
  9. I had to go with the Three Bs of Terribleness: Babayaro, Boumsong, and Bramble. I had originally intended to vote Smith, but I think he has at least some good characteristics. I'll let you know when I figure out what they are.
  10. It's really down to Souness and Fat Sam, but I had to go with Souness. He destroyed a decent team. Allardyce just made a poor team worse. Frankly, though, I'm baffled that anybody would pick anyone but those two, though I'm relieved that nobody picked Sir Bobby. If someone had, my head might have exploded.
  11. He did play well in that game. Hopefully now that he's had more time to work with the team, he can help get a result against David Beckham FC on the weekend.
  12. It could be that you're right. Our defence has been particularly better over the past month, and I imagine that he might have something to do with that.
  13. You've missed the point...we've started to win some games, so it doesn't matter what the players did before. He's been good for the past few games, so he's a legend. Didn't you get the memo?
  14. Wes Brown would be a good signing, since he's capable of covering at RB and CB. On a free, I'd take him.
  15. Yeah, credit where it's due to Butt. He was universally hated by the fans a few years back, and he couldn't have been enjoying life with Newcastle. But he stuck it out, showed a lot of character, and has been an important player in turning us around.
  16. I'd much rather we got a younger player for that amount of money, but if Deco can be the key to getting us back into Europe over the next couple of years, then that would lead to us being able to sign better, younger players. I guess my point is, even if we can only get a couple of years out of Deco, if he can be instrumental in us getting to the position we should be in, then the cash is worth it.
  17. If Zogs want to leave, he needs to be told that he either plays for us or we sell him to a club on the continent. It's just unacceptable to sell him to a club in London because he wants to be closer to his family, if that rumour is true,
  18. exactly. is he still on loan, i thought theyd bought him? I'm fairly positive they bought him. We did pretty well on the deal, too, from what I recall.
  19. You know the apology might be insincere when......you stand there with a grimace on your face while your lawyer reads it.
  20. I thought Allardyce was just what we needed to turn this club around. Also thought Smith was a good signing.
  21. After what we've gone through, I'll be happy to finish where we are right now. With the games we have coming up, I think it's unrealistic that we can catch West Ham. I realize how sad that sounds, but that's how I think it is.
  22. No doubt. TFC is right terrible at the moment. Robert is probably past his prime, but Toronto is dying for a player who can actually bring some creativity to their game. And if he plays to his potential, the fans will love him. Of course, we love Danny Dichio, so it's not hard to win us over!
  23. Apparently Laurent Robert is in Toronto to finalize a move to the MLS. This is my hometown team, so I'm curious to know what people here think about this move. The fans in Toronto seem pretty happy about the possibility. Do you think he'll do well playing 'soccer' in Canada?
  24. Personally, I hope that Ashley gives Keegan enough cash to get a new CB, new midfielders, and a new striker. But, yeah, we need to strengthen the midfield first and foremost. I would also like to see a new striker come before a new CB.
