  1. How do you know this? We are linked in the media to 'loads' of players, but I doubt if we have 'bid' for any of them !!
  2. You are wrong there. Most people in the football world are now ALREADY fully aware of what we are. Understandably, some of us supporters are taking a longer time to fully assimilate this!
  3. Why? Footballers are starting to realise that you move to London or Manchester if you can't get to Newcastle.
  4. What an idiot, he doesn't even know that our Look North programme does not come from 'Yorkshire/Leeds', but comes from the BBCs Newcastle Studios. Or, perhaps he does !!!
  5. Can't wait for the quality player(s) to arrive that no one has mentioned or even thought of. Not much longer to W A I T !!!!
  6. It is 100% the opposite of 'worrying'. It is what we have not been for the last 20 years or so - it is 'intelligent and professional'.
  7. That will be VERY temporary. I still remember fondly when we were 5th in the world . . .
  8. The thing is, it never could be or would be "the other way round" they are just not a 'known' club or a 'sleeping giant' club at all, in any way. THAT (secretly, and unspokenly by them) is what has come to hurt them the most - their final realisation of their own total insignificance - even more than the pain caused by our actual takeover itself.
  9. But all a very long time ago.
  10. If only overseas people knew what our "capital" is actually like!! Having lived there for many years, and knowing many other people similarly afflicted, I could advise them of the realities. I don't know how I did it, but we all managed to escape from there, back to Newcastle, without being stabbed, shot, or even mugged. We were VERY lucky indeed. Bad things can happen anywhere in the UK, but that place is in a world all of its own for corruption, depravity and violence, in fact NOT a world of its own, a 'universe' of its own.
  11. I know they are generally 'backward', but what is this Premier "ship" that they keep talking about?
  12. Serious question. Do they really not know how hilarious they are on there? Surely they must know.
  13. It is impossible to overestimate the quality and consistency of the job Dan Burn has been doing for us.
  14. You do know that the incredible alliance of NUFC and it's new owners will (reasonably soon) break the Septic Six Cartel FOR EVER. Our owners are very clever people, they will do what needs to be done and they ("we") will achieve what needs to be achieved.
  15. Quite seriously I am not sure if they can ever get into the Premier League again. BUT If they ever did (again, seriously) what would be the very best they could do? Rapid relegation, perhaps an 'occasional' yo-yo club. ALL at the same time as we are . . . . .
  16. Yes it is, most definitely. Finishing second in the best league in the football world, and then in the years after that following it up with . . . ! ! ! GLORIOUS indeed!
  17. I agree. Our owners will want it long before that. Consequently (because of them) so do I.
  18. Thankfully I do not think that anyone at the club would agree with that! The second option (if it ever becomes a choice between those two options) is by many miles the best (and only) real choice.
  19. I can understand the desire of some supporters to win our first major tournament since 1969. However, looking at the bigger picture, winning the League Cup does not mean you are a particularly good side, whereas finishing 2nd in the Premier league DOES mean that . . . and a lot more besides. So, 2nd option no contest.
  20. Yes, you are CORRECT !!! Comparisons with other clubs and other takeovers are not relevant. Our club is (always was) very different, and comparing the slightly negative attitudes towards our future with the VERY negative comments we had to endure about our takeover - is very apt. My message is W A I T and see !!!!
  21. Bloody Hell, at least once a week I went on there and damaged myself laughing so hard at those sad (but hilarious) morons. WHAT am I going to do now for the Big Laughs that I have become absolutely hooked on?
  22. I don't think it would ever go out of the City, it just would not work in Gateshead or Whitley Bay. In fact, I don't think they would even consider anywhere outside the 'City Centre' to be honest ! In fact, I'm sure they will stay at an extended SJP.
