As discussed a lot on here already perhaps "next to" (but not "on") Newcastle Racecourse, in the 'Parklands' area of Newcastle. However not a new stadium but a state of the art Training Ground and Academy etc. Our Stadium M U S T remain in the City Centre - and it will, at St James' Park.

It is not worth thinking about or writing about - at all.

Most fans do not want to move away from SJP.

He is without doubt - and by a very large margin - the greatest player of all time. It is amazing how the 'passage of time' can lead some people to think that other great players from later eras (their eras, presumably) are anything like as good.

They will be playing four matches before we play our next league match !!!

For quite a few years West Ham was the closest top division club to where I was living. They have a loyal hard-core of fans and a large "people" base (population) but they do not have a particularly large "fan" base.

We need a decent reserve keeper.

Yes, as mentioned earlier, Tyne & Wear Council closed down in 1986.

In fact I don't think they could as Tyne & Wear Council closed down in 1986 - Tyne and Wear County Council - Wikipedia

I have posted links to the Skyscraper City site on here a number of times. Planning for houses on the land around the Arena has been approved, and when the Arena itself re-locates to the Quayside, plans are (though not yet approved) to build houses on that site also.

Yes, I see what you mean and agree with you. Really, my "Big One" thing is just me enjoying myself with a bit of an exaggerated wind-up! That is, unless, of course, it really happens

We are, and will be even more as the years go by, the EXACT OPPOSITE of what you are implying. In fact (if you read my post) that is what I have specifically said !!

How far in the future will it be that our financial resources, our stability, our business acumen and our football management and playing quality. mean that we overtake this collection of rapidly declining has-beens? Forget the Premier league "Big Six" becoming the Big Seven . . . Welcome to the new world of the Big O N E !!!!!

I think the logical conclusion is that the Gallowgate End extension will H A P P E N !!!

Now, it looks like the development on the St James' Park Metro Station Car Park Site is definitely going ahead. However, on Skyscraper City there is a new report that "Block D" has been taken out of the four-block scheme. I think that some kind of financial arrangement may have been recently made . . . https://www.skyscrapercity.com/threads/one-st-james-st-james’-metro-station-car-park-newcastle-various-approved.1406356/post-181392650

Second in the 4th Tier will not be any good, only the team in 1st position is promoted to the 3rd Tier. They need to get up to 1st place and be promoted so that they can start their long trek up through the divisions to get into the Super League (WSL) in four or five years time.

Yes, Washington had absolutely NO natural links with Sunderland. Their links were in Gateshead and (of course) to the City of Newcastle. Football preferences have also always followed that natural pattern.
-
That is why I say "really" a part of Gateshead, we all know that it has administratively become part of the Sunderland Metropolitan Borough. My earlier post (a few up from here) illustrates how the strange Tyne & Wear' 1974 situations happened.
-
It is definitely really a part of Gateshead, always has been!

The "former" so-called Big Six.
