  1. Why would you think that? I would think that the club wants and expects them to stay till the end of their contracts and then to renew them. Goodness only knows what other great players will have joined us (and them) by then. There seems to be a problem, a genuine problem, with people adapting to the club that we now are. Darren Eales target audience for the "FFP rumours" was not our own supporters, it was to get a wide-ranging debate going around the EPL about FFP. He has succeeded.
  2. The concept invented by Sky is the "BIG 6", not the Top Six. At any given time the Top Six in the league will be made up of different teams. It is the BIG Six the idiots talk about, or the "Sleazy Six" as I think of them !!
  3. I speak in a VERY condescending way to any "Big Six" fan I come across, explaining that they used be the Big Six, but that the writing is on the wall, and soon we will be the "Big ONE" and they will be scratching around for crumbs underneath us !!!! While what I say to them is definitely, and obviously, TRUE, I am a little bit ahead of the curve. But I think we are only three or four years of steady (but fast) progress away from that. We will be the B I G - O N E !!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Who cares, Eales said we may sell some players for FFP, he never said "BIG" players, don't forget. Very clever bloke Eales, he really started a national debate about the ludicrous nature of FFP!
  5. Of course, just like last season, it would NOT have been "over" achieved . . . other than to the Southern English based 'pretend-national' Media of course, that some appear to get brainwashed by.
  6. Selling Miggy and/or Callum Wilson would more than satisfy the need, when added to the Champions League money, the SELA money and the Adidas money that would give us a LOT of capability (in our y/e 30th June Accounts) to spend in this summers transfer window,
  7. Oh yes it was - X 10.
  8. Don't know about that, but he has been quoted as saying - "I taught young Tonali all he knows" . . .
  9. Yes, a long time plan within the EPS Development Area, that a large pub is to be incorporated within the old "Worswick Chambers" building, further down Pilgrim Street from the Pilgrim Quarter HMRC construction right next to where Worswick Street Bus Station used to be, and the owners of 'Stack' have been given the license to run it.
  10. Don't think they were kicked out of anywhere at all. Stack signed a temporary lease at the former Odeon Pilgrim Street site, for a set period of time, and moved out when that period ended and their lease expired.
  11. I quite like this new aerial photo of the SELA Fanzone after the first of the containers had arrived . . .
  12. It is likely to become much more busy from June, as it is located virtually "inside" the new 24/7 SELA Fanzone.
  13. If it was in "Castle Leazes Moor" it would be virtually where SJP is now, just a few yards away the other side of Leazes Park, and I would expect if we did that then it would hold more than 70,000!
  14. Should be what happens. Should be . . Could be . . Will Not be !!!
  15. Yes, 3-2 to us, final score.
  16. I remember this from 1997 . . .
  17. My Grandad got this at the 1929 North East Coast Exhibition, and gave it to me when I was a kid . . .
  18. AFC Wimbledon are a different club, a 'new' club, nothing to do with the original Wimbledon/MK Dons club. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AFC_Wimbledon
  19. Wimbledon changed their name to MK Dons, they still exist!
  20. Yes. It just could be used a lot more usefully and still be 'nice', in fact 'even nicer'.
  21. The Town Moor is our main City Centre Park area, stretching from the City Centre to the suburbs of (West to East) Fenham, Kenton, Gosforth and Jesmond. Only small parts of it are laid out as useable parks, eg Nuns Moor Park, Exhibition Park and Leazes Park. It really M U S T be used better though!!
  22. Age is certainly not the only reason why fashionable dislike can take hold, far from it !!!
