  1. More generalisations that are not necessarily true. Also, we are actually talking about architectural appearance of ONE particular football stadium.
  2. Lots do, I would have thought a lot more than don't !!
  3. Rubbish. Also, if you knew me you would never say generalised inaccuracies like that !
  4. It looks better in the daylight, the photo I posted is the only one I have, and VERY spectacular it is too !! I'm sure plenty of group members on here will have a daylight photo for you.
  5. I have always thought that the current SJP is a spectacular looking place and therefore very pleasing on the eye . . .
  6. One of the most awful NUFC photos of all time, taken from the top of Grey's Monument in 2011. Sorry for the nightmares . . .
  7. There will be a time, a place, and an issue, that will see our owners become more identifiably involved in the final 'sorting out' of the Premier League and their corrupt cartel. It may still be quite some time off, or it may not be, but at a time of their choosing they will sort them out for good. I am certain of it.
  8. Exactly right, unfortunately. The two things are linked, and I think that BOTH will happen, very strongly. WHEN, is the question though!
  9. Personally, I think the 'fear factor' of him walking into that room would be GREAT, and far overrides any of those concerns. Others may not agree, I'm used to that!
  10. Our Chairman is here in the UK today, do you think he should stay on to attend the Premier League Meeting on Thursday? https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/prime-minister-sends-pivotal-message-30138772?

Newcastle is a place. Our football club is called Newcastle United. Who do these people think they are - SKY Sports??
  12. Why? It's still in Newcastle, the Kingston Park area of North Newcastle is only about four miles from the City Centre, and it is on the Metro. City Centre is best of course, but North Newcastle is very good, just for a couple of years!
  13. My point is (as I'm sure you know) that people always seem to pick 'recent people' for their choice of statues for St James' park, when we have had a very long history as a club and each era (out of the many eras) will have had equally famous and outstanding heroes who could/should be considered for statues. For a simple example (one amongst thousands that could have been picked) here is one Newcastle United team from 1948, and in that one randomly picked team there are at least a couple of names that could be chosen, so how many hundreds of other are there?
  14. All modern-day people. I'm sure we will have had many equivalents (or better) over all the years before these four.
  15. Yes, it will be very different for us. There is no FFP/PSR in the women's game, so it will be a bit like what it would have been for us in the men's game, without all the restrictions.
  16. The new East Stand, opened in 1972/1973 . . .
  17. You are wrong there, it is an inaccurate opinion. You can allow some flexibility along the lines of "it is only my opinion", but there are limits to that.
  18. It is also an inaccurate opinion.

The Liverpool squad is indeed better than ours overall, as you say, but we should not BUY anyone who is deemed specifically not good enough for them. So, FloydianMag is correct, from that perspective.

ALL we can do is keep our faith in our club and the people working for it/us. Before October 2021 delays like this often meant failure. Since the Takeover we tend to succeed.
  21. They are so precious, what on earth would we do without them? I'm just off to the RVI (again) as I need FAR stronger stitches in my sides this time, I'm there almost every day these days.
  22. It is considerably more than "every click-bait story". That is a very misleading comment, in this case. Having said that, I have always thought that it was all just the daft media and that (obviously) Gordon had no intention of leaving. But . . .
