That's what I thought, and he suggested Sol Campbell as player manager Don't be ridiculous. HE'S BLACK!

Would be good at this level, alot of pace. Personally don't think he has alot of pace anymore. He is still quick, but he's not rapid anymore by any means. He's a cut above almost every other player we have at 1st team level with acceleration I'd say. He's a half decent finisher and is able to chase flick ons and run into space. Should be really good at this level.

Agree, though I'd have thought £9m plus when you see Boro knocking back Villa's interest in Wheater for around £6m. Taylor is a far better prospect imho. I don't know. I think that Wheater is the better player right now, seems more developed as a player.

So.. Ashley wanted £100m for the club and we had two bids of £100m that we never heard of again.. today he says that we're in talks with Moat who has bid £100m.. and there are two other consortiums interested.. It's all nonsense. Sick of reading this drivel. If Moat has bid the asking price then there's no issue, is there. Barclays have supposedly agreed to the overdraft and the wage bill has been reduced.

Fag.

Fucking yawn. This won't get sorted this week if this is true. The tight fisted cunts will try to get as much as possible for the club.
-
Ince and Barnes are a complete red herring though because they have been able to use their playing career to open doors. Where is the black David Moyes for example? I think that it's more coincidence than anything else. It's like saying that foreign leagues hate the English because there's a lack of English players in La Liga or Serie A.
-
If a black ex-player/coach or whatever went and got his UEFA pro badge or whatever it is and had some sort of track record at a lower club or in coaching then I very much doubt he'd get turned down for the job. Ince is an example of this.

Well he was suppossedly on Shearer's list. It was probably an easy thing for everyone to agree on. But was he? The only time he's been mentioned was in an article titled 'Who Could Newcastle Sign?' or similar.. the connection to Simpson made sense because he's been loaned out regular and has played at this level. If he was on Shearers list and Hughton went straight out and loaned him based on this though that would suggest that the two are in contact about potential targets.

I know about 30 odd that are coming up for the match. Rumours they're bringing about 4-5k. Don't see it being so many myself, but the away end should almost definitely be full.

Colour has nothing to do with managerial ability, he's right there.. but I fail to see his point. I can't imagine any league club in the UK consider turning down a manager because of his race and I can't think of any situations where this has happened. It's not like Barnes has never got an opportunity to manage at a decent level.
-
Yeah.. but did he pick Danny Simpson as the emergency RB cover? Someone obviously singled that player out for loan.
-
Shola will disappoint because he's inconsistent and injury prone. His ability counts for nothing when he can play a blinder one week and be anonymous and constantly offside the next.

Like any other striker, he thrives on service. When someone like Barton is feeding you the ball rather than some 18 year old kid you're bound to score a few more goals. Being a striker has to be one of the most thankless jobs when the majority of your job depends totally on the team around you. You can't put the ball in the net if you don't get it. (eg: Owen) He actually scored plenty, I think the comments were more directed towards his general play. He didn't score plenty.. I remember one match he scored 2, but as Binnsy will say his general play looked weak and directionless and although Cubaricho is saying that he's only getting service off reserve/youth players he's also only playing against reserve/youth players. As I've said constantly, he definitely has ability.. it's whether he's willing to adapt it to the English game. He's not a goalscoring forward either.. he's much more of a targetman that plays with his back to goal with hold-up play and bringing other players into the attack. This club lacks a true goalscorer.

It's from The Sun.

Sure they've got a third kit
-
Don't think he's ready for a start quite yet. It'd be better to save that for Huddesfield than at home to Wednesday.
-
I'm impressed that he's willing to take a pay cut rather than just sit on his pay cheque here.
-
Can't see it being anything else.
-
It's irrelevant, since he was just answering a what if question at an interview.
-
Can't remember the exact comment but it was saying that although he was enjoying working as Cardiff manager if the offer from us came along he'd give it serious consideration.
-
He might have enough money and outside investment to run the club, keep it going and improve/maintain the first team squad but not have enough money to pay for the initial £100m price tag. That's how I understood it. To be honest I lost interest a while ago, if the season hadn't have started when it did I'd probably just watch a different sport this season. Them 3 months or so were painful.

Seems a bit weird, an ex boxer getting offers from prem clubs.
-
DJ is a good manager, what's your problem? He's only favourite because of a passing comment he made in an interview and some idiots hoyed a load of money on him.

Feel more sorry with the wife that has breast cancer to be honest.
