  1. It's irrelevant, since he was just answering a what if question at an interview.
  2. Can't remember the exact comment but it was saying that although he was enjoying working as Cardiff manager if the offer from us came along he'd give it serious consideration.

    RIP sale thread.

He might have enough money and outside investment to run the club, keep it going and improve/maintain the first team squad but not have enough money to pay for the initial £100m price tag. That's how I understood it. To be honest I lost interest a while ago, if the season hadn't have started when it did I'd probably just watch a different sport this season. Them 3 months or so were painful.
  4. Seems a bit weird, an ex boxer getting offers from prem clubs.
  5. DJ is a good manager, what's your problem? He's only favourite because of a passing comment he made in an interview and some idiots hoyed a load of money on him.
  6. Feel more sorry with the wife that has breast cancer to be honest.
  7. The boxing day game at their place will be brilliant.
  8. You're right, like. This is probably where we're going wrong. On the other hand you could argue that we're undefeated in two with a black powerless team..... I assume Shola doesn't count, then? He's BLACK?!!! Shit...
  9. On the other hand he hasn't actually come out and denied anything.. and we all know how much he likes to natter on in the papers.
  10. Hughton was given the green light for free and loan transfers supposedly a week or so ago.
  11. Hughton has stated that Simpson is going to make his debut for this game, meaning that Barton will almost certainly be out and R.Taylor will be pushed up into midfield.
  12. He's not a brilliant defensive player in the English mould, thats for sure. He's always had a touch of class on the ball and has hidden speed and acceleration that can make him a danger down the left since it's not expected. He's a fairly tidy passer of the ball and with some proper coaching on his crosses (something this club has lacked for a LONG time) he could be an extremely good player.

    Xisco

I rate Xisco from watching him in La Liga a couple of seasons back, but I've seen nothing in any of scattered appearances to suggest that he'd be any good here. It all depends on the player and if he'll be used or have the urge to want to try and make a success of his time here. I wouldn't be surprised to see him loaned out to a Spanish team.

    Shola Ameobi

Get your head out of your arse. It's taken him 9 years or so of first team appearances to get a hat trick and it was in the championship. Also, 3 goals against Reading doesn't automatically clear the fact that he is extremely injury prone and very inconsistent. Before we all start patting Shola on the back about a job well done as a return to something resembling a footballer lets not forget his last 6-7 years here. It's a bit early to start wagging our dicks about over this.
  15. Old news, most of us with sense figured it out years ago Brambles potential as a centre half has never been in doubt, whether he would have achieved it here is a different matter though.

    Jonas Gutierrez

Enrique was getting criticism from some people on this board, but there's not a player that hasn't either been overhyped or underestimated here.
  17. Isn't his girlfriend from Newcastle?
  18. Trouble is that what you saw on the teamsheet today was pretty much all we have. When we get some long term injuries (and we definitely will - we always do) there'll be no-one but inexperienced youth players to plug the gap and I'd rather not take that risk. We've had a good start to the season and a bad stretch of results could ruin any possible chance of an early return to the premiership.
  19. Probably push R.Taylor up and play Simpson RB. Wouldn't be surprised to see Geremi play out wide though in Bartons' pace.
  20. This is Readings first away loss since January. St James Park could be a fortress this season, hah.
  21. Despite two good performances I don't know how we'll deal with the Owls. They're a close-knit team and are really passionate. This'll be a cup final for them, I know loads of Wednesday fans heading up for this one.
  22. Shola and Carroll linked up well at times I thought. Both suffer from inconsistencies at times though.
