  1. Don't have any expectations if I was you. I'm not expecting him to be good or bad, just another body to be honest. Since he hasn't actually played for a while none of us could really say. If he still has pace and is able to use it that'd be a massive bonus on all accounts.
  2. In the defence of Jonas it'd help someone would actually support him when he tracks back to defend, gets the ball and then proceeds to bomb down the wing with the ball. The other players either don't have the legs or just don't care. The players cared in the first game of the season and the result and effort put in shows that. It was also one of his better games, if not his best for us.
  3. Yeah but isn't the a law or a rule that means that games can't be televised with a 3pm kickoff? Something that incidentally doesn't apply abroad, hence the likes of en vivo streams with the commentators singing after every goal. ...Apparently.
  4. Wonder if they have to pay for a bottle of lucozade.
  5. As much as I hate Allardyce, he makes a good point about Arsenal and their youth policy in the cups. The idea that you have to play your 'strongest XI' no matter what is stupid. How else are you meant to introduce youngsters to the game? In the league which is pretty much top priority for every team? On your bike, FA.
  6. Southampton's youngsters are doing a great job of getting them out of the championship, shame it's to league 1. Premiership survival must the number 1 priority at this time Yet again it all goes down to a lack of communication from the club. From the interviews that I've read it seems that the managers answer to him, like when Keegan was talking about Zayate. It's a shame, because like you said the youth policy is much better than it has been in recent years.
  7. Stupid thing is that this is what we were told their job was in the first place but then it seems that they started pricking about with the first XI. Being honest and showing clarity at the beginning could have saved a whole lot of fuss really.
  8. I don't know why I feel so good about this move, maybe because he's the first (only?) one for this window or maybe because he didn't cost anything so if he flops won't be around for next season.. Either way, hope he does well. We're really lacking in pace. Central midfield now, please.
  9. And another thing, the TV companies hardly seem bothered when they fuck up peoples plans by changing the televised matches last minute. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's booked train tickets to go see a match or booked a day off work only for these wankers to change the kick off times/days. They can fuck off the lot of them.
  10. Maybe if clubs didn't charge an arm and a leg for tickets and channels like Setanta didn't make fixtures painful to watch for an unreasonable fee more people would actually attend the games. I imagine teams like Blackburn are just chuffed that somebody is watching them at all to be fair.
  11. I think that logic went out the window when teams like Sunderland had to spend £50m on a load of dross to stay up and Man City threw £12m+ at a reserve left back. I can't think of many goalkeepers of a certain quality that actually leave their club to be honest. The likes of Casillas & Buffon are very comfortable at their clubs and keepers like James were playing terribly before their transfer so couldn't demand anything near a decent fee.
  12. Think he's come back from a really long injury.
  13. Bet you wish you was playing Spurs
  14. on away goals if it stays i believe.
  15. He also got thrown out of a casino in Hull for causing a fight thinking about it. Bit of a cunt really.
  16. There is nothing in the tin; we're losing money. I think. This is what we'll do in this window too by the looks of things. The real question is: at what point will we be ABLE to spend more than nothing? We spent £5,000 pounds this summer and still improved the first team, why cant we carry on doing the same? Thats all any fan should ask as a minimum. We didn't improve the central midfield and we've failed to address the complete lack of depth in 3 transfer windows so far. We may have a better quality of player in some areas but if we constantly end up having to sell to buy, which seems to be the case, then the entire thing is pointless as we'll never really deal with this massive flaw to the team.
  17. I am sure Bruce & King have had a tiff. King is a complete t*** of a man. Totally true. He's fallen out with pretty much every manager he's worked with in the last 4 seasons or so. Allowed?
  18. You're completely clueless. If selling Given is the only way we will bring in players to improve the team then it absolutely has to be done. Have you seen our defence and midfield? Absolutely pointless having Given back there if things remain as they are in other areas. So you're confident we'll definitely spend it are you? I'm still waiting to see the Milner money spent and since we spent 5k net in the summer surely we should have some more to dish out. This regime is turning into a fucking joke beyond a joke.
