It'll be interesting to know the renewal numbers, there's a lot of talk of people quitting after 20/30/40 years and their kids too, of course social media isn't a great barometer but it's definitely the most United I've seen the fan base online. This has got to be it now surely, there's no coming back from this nightmare.

So the PR machine is at mach 3 in the last few days, Mike's a lovely bloke that has spent loads of cash and only wants the best for NUFC, BZG made him get rid of Rafa but they haven't actually put a bid in for the club. And if you believe all this then all hope is gone. Ashley is about to close the door, pocket the cash for another failed retail company. I honestly thought this time would be different, BZG seemed like the real deal but there's no accounting for Ashley's ability to kill any deal dead and claim it's everyone else's fault. This needs to blow up in his face now.

His response made absolutely no sense. If you read it as he's responding to what he originally wrote in January it makes sense, but when I questioned why he says he still believes that is he saying he's not going to quit going to the matches just yesterday then he ignored me. As much as it pains me to say it, he is an influencer and if he can't get his story straight then what are the people that follow him without their own mind going to do?

Steve Wraith is an idiot, I called him out thus morning on his change of stance and he went back on it: [/url!]

He’s one of a board of many, people need to get over this obsession with him. His contacts and reach have been invaluable to the board over last six months. I'm sure they have, but the bloke wants fucking gagging, man. Virtually every supporter group is behind a boycott, including The Magpie Group - which he's a part of. He's basically a celebrity fan these days so he needs to be more self-aware. He's massively self-aware he's just oblivious to everything and everyone else around him, after all it's only him that matters, right? Right??

Tbf I was reading through the replies and I'd say 95% disagree with him

He’s never loaned his own money to the club once Man, he’s taking a lot out though. He’s robbing the club right left and centre and has from day one. Thats his point and why "lend" and "loans" are in quotes. There are plenty of our fans who believe what Ashley says though granted. it's just another way for him to take yet more money from the club and hold it further to ransom.
-
Straight out of the Ashley playbook, recoup as much cash as possible, put the club in disarray, fiddle the books with erroneous costs to make us look skint, get relegated, "lend" the club more money, gamble on getting promoted first time by out-spending the league with borrowed cash, get back in the Premier league, free advertising and more money to trouser recouping his "loans". It looks less and less likely that any kind of takeover will happen in his lifetime and no one is asking any questions, the blame is already being put firmly at that greedy Rafa's door by the media. Its like a slow motion train wreck and we're powerlessly being forced to watch it on repeat.
-
Its irrelevant really, no one can do anything with this team while Ashley has his claws in the club. Fwiw they'll probably just coast into the new season with Redfearn as temp and no signings. It'll be at least mid-August before they consider a permanent replacement or Redfearn if we're not dead last.

Looks photoshopped. Definitely a slight difference in skin tone between the head and body, I think you're on to something Bimps
-
Didn’t say there was anything wrong with different opinions. Doesn’t mean I think they are right though. Its no about different opinions, it's about a shed load of new sign ups with the same opposed opinion that's the issue and it's relentless

Nice one Rob, good call. Glad you got Max Rushden and not that tool Adrian Durham Good listen and articulate, well done Rob
-
All these regens with Intelligence 0 stats, what's gannin on?
-
Absolutely, the most important part is we all stay away, after that who cares how people watch/celebrate, that's a personal choice that doesn't affect Ashley's tenure.
-
i dont particularly , i just like to watch the really good teams as opposed to the usually shite england ones

This place has gone crazy, but it always does during the off season, add a takeover saga and losing our best manager since SBR then you've got a real Molotov cocktail. I can't understand why everyone is so upset with Odin, tensions are high but there's much worse on here in terms of annoyance. Maybe not the wisest move but it's not The end of the world! Agreed, Ashley is the real problem, I'm gutted that Rafa has gone, it's a really low point even for Ashley's NUFC but it is recoverable with a change of ownership. The focus definitely needs to be on if Ashley stays we go, last chance saloon, if Ashley stays after this then I don't see an end in sight.
-
What the hell is wrong with you. Another one that had been quiet since Rafa has being going about his job professionally and making us better than the sum of our parts. I can see a few of them crawling back to the forum to try and twist this into something of an "I told you so". Best not rise to the bait, you can't argue with stupid
-
He should and needs to but I don't think he will. Keegan did and it didn't make a difference to the sheep anyway Short memory? The fans at the time protested and most hard-core supporters voted with their feet, unfortunately they were replaced by happy clappers, but there has to be a breaking point for even those "supporters" surely? I think we'll see a significant drop in crowds if Ashley still owns the club.
-
Yep 100% totally and utterly, unmitigatedly done with NUFC in its current guise, there is no bounds to Ashley's disregard, disrespect and devaluing of NUFC. His vindictiveness has no scale, only when/if there is a take over could I possibly come back.

Which other football club includes wages and agent fees into it's transfer budget? Surely they have a separate wage budget? If that's the case then our actual transfer budget will be lucky to be 35 million. It's a joke like. Where's the money going/gone Mike? If we've factored in those wages at purchase then why did we have to wipe off so much in wages in the championship season and what happens about the wages we factored in if we sell a player, do they get added back on with the transfer fee? Why is no one in the media at all asking any questions about the dodgy way we deal with our financials?? What a joke of a club, I'm just waiting for the sale to be called off and I'll be calling it off now, SD United is not good for the blood pressure and I'm not getting any younger.

Fwiw I think it's a good time to buy GAME, when they went into administration last time it was because of the gap in hardware sales, towards the end of the PS3/XB360 cycle the sales really dried up and it killed the industry. Streaming is still a relatively far way off, too many hick towns and underprivileged countries don't have the infrastructure to support streaming. Microsoft came out and said they won't be considering streaming services for the foreseeable future. Sony believe the PS5 will be the last console to support physical media though. I think once these new consoles land there will still be some legs in GAME but it's not a long term venture, it's days are numbered if they exist as they are today.
