Granted he doesn't have the best squad to work with, are you seriously saying he should never be criticised if someone thinks he's made a mistake ? Not at all, but a sense of perspective wouldn't go amiss. This, when we're winning it's all quiet, as soon as we lose the wolves come out. I'm happy for him to take his share of the blame when it doesn't go for us, if he deserves it, but not the ones baying for blood, calling him a busted flush every time. Even in blame you've got to consider the hand he has been dealt.

I'm not reading that shit, I already know what a self serving rectangle that fuck face is, don't need the extra blood pressure on a Friday night
-
And yet people still call him out for tactics and subs, smh. The man is truly a genius and a gentleman to boot, no one I'd rather have in our dugout now or for the foreseeable future. Edit: NPW

Not a chance, Shearer gave me so many fond memories, I wouldn't swap his time here for anything, the man was everything a striker should be and more.

They are 6th mind, an away point to a top 6 team is always decent I just mean a Newcastle United not shackled by Ashley wouldn't be where we are. However I am really happy with the result, not taking anything away from it, all the players can hold their heads high after that

A point away at Everton is a great result, it shouldn't be but that's where we are.
-
Petulant self approval too, trying to act like the voice of fans while spouting his own agenda

The want to believe is greater than the ability to see the smoke screen. I want to believe it's true but I don't trust a word that comes from the club in its current guise. #wait

4 on the bounce and hopefully a little daylight from the bottom before the Everton game. Confidence is a huge factor in football and you never know what will happen after a few good wins and performances. -
How the actual fuck!??!?
-
Not entirely true though, he hiked the price when safety was assured and only "reduced" the price again when he spent fuck all in the summer and left Rafa high and dry. I think people are interested at £300m but it's only ever been available at that price when we've been on a knife edge. It'll be interesting to see what happens in the summer with a threadbare squad, no manager and no transfer funds, greedy bastard will still think we're worth £300m, even if we're relegated.
-
Solid 5, the seeds of recovery are finally sprouting, more performances like today and the team will gain the confidence and momentum to look forward rather than back.

Every game in the premiership near enough will swing one way to another, the most important aspect is capitalising on your ascendancy and defending well when the other team gets their purple patch. Even one sided games have a patch where the other team gets their chances. We scored when we needed to and we defended well when we were under the cosh, that's what wins you games.

Saw that stat earlier, certainly did not feel like they had more of the ball. They must have counted the 8 minutes or so when their player was down and they were passing a ball around. I'm sure I read on here that possession is measured by how many passes are made by each team rather than time in possession of the ball, which seems a weird metric. So I wouldn't say it's massively indicative of actual possession of the ball, it just means we made less passes in our possession. Would love to see a game where both teams are so shit that neither can complete a pass throughout the game and have 0% possession each. I think we're quite capable of that on our day, we just need another team to match us

They deserve everything they get, it just gives people a nice big brush to tarnish us all with. Hope they get dogs abuse from our lot too.

Keegan spent pretty much the equivalent on Andy Cole (£1.75m) when we were in the second division way back in 1993. It's a shambles. Ashley hasn't even beaten the price we paid for Shearer in 1996 ffs, never mind the fee for Owen.
-
"Rondon was Rafas number one target" completely negating his transfer pot was 12p and a half eaten curly wurly
-
I think the problem lies with what these clubs are willing to pay than what the demands are. People will try and get away with what they can until someone puts their foot down tbh.
-
We're not angry, we're just really disappointed, now go over there and think about what you have done.

I'd always still intended going anyway but mentioned the boycott to the bairn and her response was that we'd already bought season tickets if we didn't go it meant Ashley was the winner as he'd took money off us without us getting the service/goods/game we'd paid for. Said we shouldn't let him win and shouldn't let him stop us from doing what we enjoy doing ie going to the match. We've already missed Brighton as we were on holiday (lad at work bought our tickets though) and may well miss Liverpool due to my neices wedding but this will depend on the game being moved for tv. It's about the visual impact though. I know, i get that, but i also think f*** him, he's not stopping me from doing what i want to do which is go to the match. He'll be laughing his stots off at that fact he's had the money and people haven't come. I also want to go to the match but am boycotting all games, if you can't stay away for one organised game for the greater good then that's poor imo. It's too tiresome a battle mate, you may as well smash your face off a brick wall as much use arguing the point will do. The Wolves match has got enough momentum to make a statement and we know it won't happen over night, other supporters will see the success and jump on board. This has to gain momentum and the more we protest, the more will join. As infuriating as it is, the best we can do is inform and educate, the minute we turn on each other we weaken our stance and telling someone they're wrong for what they believe in only makes them more steadfast in their decision.

He won't be laughing his socks off when Sky stop putting us on TV I thought we were on tv a lot because of the viewing figures though, and if more stay at home and watch on tv the viewing figures therefore go up and we're on even more. Even still, this isn't a direct hit at Ashley, this is about him but for a wider audience, what more of a statement than not using something you paid for? It's a vote of no confidence, the rest of the footballing world will be thinking they've paid but still aren't going, there must be something bad to cause that? I get it man, you don't want to miss the game, it's your prerogative . There will never be a consensus, you do what you think is right dude.
