Can't imagine Norwich getting much, maybe a point against Watford Possibly only 3 points for Sunderland (Norwich A) We need to win 3 at least. Can't see 3 wins from that fixture list. It may be my Sunday morning negativity but I can see Norwich getting a win v Watford and draws v Sunderland, Man U & Everton. I can see Sunderland scraping a win today and against Watford with draws v Norwich, Chelsea & Everton. That would therefore mean we would need to win 4 and draw 1 of our remaining games. Never happening. There's no way that both are picking up that sort of form, mind. As crap as we are, lets not forget why they are both still fighting relegation too. Agreed, I can understand the negativity surrounding us for our form but just because we're so bad that doesn't make other teams suddenly start to get better. The mackems will be resoundly beaten today. That's not helping my Sunday morning headache, man. SORRY!!!

I missed the match yesterday and said 9 baring in mind results around us and never expecting anything from the Southampton game in the first place. After watching what unfolded yesterday I can catagorically put us at a 10 I've never seen such a half hearted, half arsed, couldn't give a shit attitude towards a football match as bad as that. All 3 goals were fucking pathetic, I didn't think we could get much worse but they were playing like a death row 11. Absolutely embarrassing and bar one or two, none of them should be allowed to play professional football ever again.
-
It's not entirely his decision though, that's the point. I'd imagine he is still intent on keeping us up this year, he's a winner and not even contemplating relegation yet. If/when that's confirmed he MAY make his intentions clear. It would be funny to watch Charney et al squirm if he did have intentions of staying.
-
I hope that was his last game for us, pathetic excuse for a footballer who has stolen a living for far too long, would probably struggle in league 1 fucking useless prick!
-
Clearly wounded by the results, yeah he's not the brightest spark and seems pretty clueless on why it's not working but at least he gives a shit, could do with more of out gutless bunch showing that kind of hurt, we might actually start fighting back at some point.
-
This is all I've been thinking recently, they're a different (better) side since he left, coincidence?
-
I've heard on the grapevine that we've never beaten them at home since they got promoted.

I'm still at a firm 9, I don't think anyone can be a 10 with it still being mathematically possible to survive. Today was never a must win, any point would have been a bonus point and as much as I wanted to see Pardew lose to death I'm actually thankful they beat Norwich today and kept us in distance. Looking at the remaining games I would say out of the three of us we have the slight easier run. I don't have any confidence that these lot can win another game now but I have hope that something will click. We need wholesale changes to get a result though, drop the dross, at this point in time I genuinely believe players like Saivet, Gouffran and Oberwang couldn't possibly do any worse!

This. Very much this. We're a stepping stone, and it has now turned out we're a cowpat. Did that once as a kid and regretted it, I learned. http://cdn.makeagif.com/media/5-12-2014/hKpXJt.gif

Agreed, I can see why some are calling for players to be dropped, but for whom? Imagine the uproar if Oberwang was starting? I am sure Rafa has his plan and an idea of his substitutions and he's made me scratch my head more than once, but he's proven he's much more intelligent when it comes to football than I, so I'll see how this pans out. What would anyone else have done differently? Genuine question.
-
Yeah I thought I was in some alternate reality where actual footballing skill and productivity actually count for something. Stupid, I know!
-
WHAT ABOUT THAT MISTAKE AGAINST MAN U THOUGH *licks lips* I forgot he gets the same measuring stick as HBA, but Colback and Gouffran can give away set plays and mistimed tackles that result in goals all the time so long as they look like they're "working hard".
-
100% would have him back and starting in a flash, showed more in his brief cameos than most of our lot have shown in years, badly mistreated in his time here, still cannot get my head round the fact no one could see the untapped potential the lad had. No world beater but he was solid.
-
One is completely undeserved and contrary to current form.

still think the likes of townsend, mitrovic etc will piss it down there I'm not sure Townsend will stay tbh. Assuming he has no relegation clause, I can't see many people willing to stump, say 10m, to get him off us. Not many will want him, even fewer will be willing to pay for him and there's no certainty that he would be desperate to leave. A few weeks ago he was playing with the young uns remember. I think he'd stay, just based on his well publicised good attitude. He's no premier league top 6 player but he'd be a cut above anyone currently plying their trade in the Championship. If we can keep them we can make a good backbone out of Mbemba, Dummett, Shelvey, Townsend, Aarons, Perez and Mitrovic. It's a big ask to get them all to stay but they would all be very good in that league.
-
How is Madeley even allowed to referee another of our matches after the last game?? It was found that his mistakes changed the game and the red card was recinded. The only hope is that rather than being vindictive in his last match he feels he owes us one for his mistake. I'm going for the former rather than the latter though.
-
That's true. If we'd stayed up with Rafa that was the only chance we would have tried to win anything under Ashley, but no doubt he'll revert to type once Rafa buggers off once we get relegated. This is the fear for me, if we don't stay up () and if we don't keep Rafa if we do go down () then I can imagine Ashley feeling burned by the situation and taking the relegation as "evidence" a quality manager changes nothing.
-
Palace are losing by narrow margins and the squad has some quality. They'll get their Bosingwa moment, i'm certain. Winning the FA Cup and beating us up here so Pardew confirms our relegation will be those moments. If that happens then I'm done with football, imagine all the glorified media wanking about how that could have been us if we didn't hound the king out, smh.
-
Also according to today's media he's decided to choose his starting line-ups based on age, the older, the better (Nothing like Johnson). Can't see a manager of his calibre making tactical decisions based on such basic data?!
-
Our only hope of moving him on is if we fail to bounce and start gurgling around the Championship drain, but I think that would lead to an even unhappier marriage as no one will want to buy.
-
Because barring advertising his tatty little brand he has no care for us. What he clearly didn't factor in is that we have to have a modicum of success to continue advertising said shitty brand. He just thought he'd done the bare minimum but it was always going to collapse on him.
-
We can only hope that 3 goals in 2 game has sparked a bit of confidence in the lad, we've seen him with his tail up and on his day he can be a handful. I just hope it's not too late for him to be taking his chances now.
-
He's made himself look an absolute fool after his comments at the end of last season, the press will have a field day when it happens, his words "the blame stops at my door". the press will say he spent 80m and got Rafa in what more do the deluded geordies want. Tbf lazy journalism will probably point to the players, partially correctly, for under performing, but miss the glaringly obvious cause of performance and indeed buying such lightweights in the first place.
