  1. I'm guessing that would depend on what was written into the official bid/contracts. At the bare minimum that would be the case.
  2. You don't hoy a £17m deposit on something that isn't legally binding here fat boy, I trust you to do the right thing, especially after the last takeover attempt. Ashley can't pull the plug at this point, not unless there is a legally binding timeframe for completion. There's definitely been a few bumps in the road with regards to external issues raised, human rights issues and piracy issues, but the former doesn't come into question during these tests and the latter sounds like a past issue that is being rectified. It's only natural based on previous failed attempts to be worried the longer it goes on, but rational thought says these are unprecedented times and certain things take a little longer than they would usually. There is a slim chance that this doesn't go through, of course, nothing is for certain, however what would need to transpire at this point is very doubtful, the buyers are all in at this point.
  3. Out of all the separate things mentioned in this thread this is the crux of it all, 13 years wasted, 13 years of supporting nothing, if minimal effort, maximum profit, disdain and apathy. Just an absolute waste.
  4. Most (all) of these ITK Twitter basement dwellers tend to just smash their keyboards with their face and the resulting word soup is just put out in hope that they'll be right and claim "you heard it here first folks!". Funny to read them but you shouldn't hang on anything they say.
  5. Even wrote Arsenal twice ffs Henry out, Shearer in? Did Shearer play for Soton in the PL? No he left for Blackburn in 92 when the PL started
  6. Final offering, can't be bothered to mess with it anymore: Jussi Jaaskelainen ?? (Bolton/West Ham/Wigan) Virgil van Dijk ?? (Southampton/Liverpool) Vincent Kompany ?? (Man City) Lucas Radebe ?? (Leeds) Juninho Paulista ?? (Middlesborough) Luca Modric ?? (Tottenham) Gordon Strachan ??????? (Leeds/Coventry) Mesut Ozil ?? (Arsenal) Cristiano Ronaldo ?? (Manchester United) Didier Drogba ?? (Chelsea) Alan Shearer ??????? (Blackburn/Newcastle United)
  7. Shearer played for Southampton so you can't have him and VVD. Southampton literally ruined half the talent pool McGrath played for Man U pre-PL era. Damn it, I wanted Shearer in my team too but it's too much juggling to change that now, I'd need to replace Robert!

    Sunderland

Scunny fans glad he’s gone. One of methvans mates Was on the board of the efl panel which ratified the Donald buyout of the club. Relegated and failed at every club he’s been at Named J Rodwell First comment is someone wants to buy the club but vaulted at the asking price. They are taking this very well. The only thing I took from that article is that Scunthorpe have a much more professional system in place to run a football club than Newcastle Hardly the benchmark is it? It's like saying Mother Theresa was a better babysitter than the McCanns
  11. Loving the dig at Keys at the end there pretty much on the ball that, good piece
  12. Ugh, I've just become a "support da teem" guy haven't I?
  13. Its not fair that anyone expects us to either, supporters are too diverse to pull in one direction.
  14. I tend to agree, the highly charged emotions about the morality of this take over will always simmer under the surface, both sides of the fence have strong opinions and neither are wrong except in the eye of the other. We all love NUFC, that at least we can agree on, I just want to love my team again, look forward to Saturdays again and hopefully European nights midweek too in the not to distant future. I'm tired of fighting this club, Ashley is gone, it's been a long and arduous fight and it's taken a lot out of us all, I either accept it for what it is or I walk away for good because it's not healthy. I won't be coming back in this thread because it's been done to death, no one comes out of here a winner. Am I a hypocrite? Maybe, am I an enabler? Probably, am I an NUFC fan that just wants to see a successful team and region? Definitely. I love this forum, I respect a lot of posters opinions on here, I don't think I've ever seen it as split as it is on this subject. I hope we can all find joy in an Ashley-less NUFC together, it would be a shame to lose anyone else.
  15. [move][glow=red,2,300][/glow][/move] From what I made of that bit, they're thinking about the immediate future, more likely waiting until the season has ended before they look to what is available.
  16. Its ok to oppose an oppressive regime but also call out blatant agenda driven hypocracy Wullie, they aren't mutually exclusive. I'm not deflecting nor defending but I am sick of the media bias.
  17. If you don't believe that most of this NUFC media finger wagging is due to it being NUFC then read this article from the Independent: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-united-sale-saudi-arabia-interest-reports-latest-buy-club-mohammad-bin-salman-a8586866.html?__twitter_impression=true When it's NUFC it's "Sportswashing" when it's MUFC it's "Diversifying their interests to include sport", same group, different team.
  18. None of them will have the slightest clue who he is. Except maybe Mandy, if she was writing letters to Stifler, I suppose it's possible she might swap convivial texts with Wraith. This is my worry, that they'll have no idea who he is and therefore assume from his large online presence that he holds any kind of value or insight at all, rather seeing him as the weapons-grade, vacuous, bullshit merchant he actually is. And that they'll grant him far more credibility (ie any) than he actually warrants. They'll want to build bridges with supporters, any new owner will have that down as absolute priority. The fear is they'll see this Muppet flapping his lips and his army of faux-sycophants and think he has some holding in that regard. Hopefully Mandy will know better at this point having met the fake funeral tosspot already.

    Rafa Benítez

Great post, couldn't agree more. Absolutely this, it's more than just what happens on the pitch, the club has been hollowed out and mistreated for more than a decade, we need someone that can build a club from scratch and he has all the tools. He has proven also that he can play a more expansive game when he has the tools, he'll never be another Klopp but right now we have to build the foundations for our future and he's the only man that can do it, do it good and do it in a short space of time. BHH
  20. Just screenshot it and email them saying the link they sent doesn't work and you want to cancel. Should be enough proof. Wanna join my Zoom chat with my Nan later, teach her how to suck an egg? Will she be sucking an egg on screen....? I'm also interested in this...
