  1. Titus was an enigma, absolute beast one minute, total liability the next, it wasn't just that he made the odd mistake it was that those mistakes were usually game changing calamities.
  2. I tried to play devils advocate with Douglas earlier and when I got a reply got straight to the point about Ashley, surprisingly he got quiet. Not an ounce of backbone between them. I had the Ashley conversation with Edwards also, who admitted he was the real issue but again wouldn't elaborate on the issue. Journalism is dead in this country.
  3. You do realise this is Rafas exact tactics? Haven’t even dropped to the low of Bruce ball yet This is a bastardisation of Rafa tactics, Rafa's teams were more coherent and more fluid going forward with purpose and aim. This is the same dogged defence but with the caveat of a Brucie lump it to the big guy and see what comes off or slide it sideways to the quick guy and hope he pulls off some majik. When Bruce finally gets his claws in this side the soopafans will be calling for his head. This false league position has really divided support, much as Pardew did but after even more years of crap being fed at the table of Ashley it's the most divided we've been. Spot on, the same numpties crowing over this all will be the first to boo and the likes of the cretins writing pro Bruce/anti Rafa shit in the media will also be the first to stick the boot in. They all have the cub they deserve. Don’t think there’s that much difference between this way of playing and rafas personally- just joelinton is worse at holding the ball up than rondon. There were some awful games with Rafa and hardly played attacking at all. There was progression though. You could see he had a plan and the players were drilled well. With Bruce we’re just using the same tactics but arnt improving. Will come a point everything will drop off and we will plummet. Anyone advocating Bruce doesn’t know football. He is a fraud and doesn’t have any history to back up any of the shit he talks We saw some horrific football under Rafa, no doubt about that but once we had Almiron we were a different side, I don't think you are giving that second half a season the justice it deserves, we had some exciting spells and, although still cautious, definitely opened up more. I haven't seen anything of the like under Bruce, this whole season has been a shit-fest with the exception of 2 games, one of which was against league 1 powerhouses Rochdale. Anyway, it's besides the point, Rafa was building something, Brice can't see past the next game ??

  5. The fans have become very polarized, there's no middle ground anymore and the nympties are becoming louder the closer we get to survival

    Joelinton

    £20m a goal, bargain!
  7. Now he's scoring goals regular got to keep him fit for that January 31st bid coming in

  9. Fwiw I wasn't trying to appease any sexists with my comment, I don't want to listen to men who aren't knowledgeable either, I'll quite happily watch a game on mute if someone like Owen is commentating
  10. This thread needs to be burned with fire, the only thing that matters is if they're knowledgeable, which tbf negates most of the men in commentary at the moment.
  11. Nothing quite like some self depreciating humour on a Monday night
  12. I often don't complete until very deep tbh
  13. Definitely playing better this season under front foot Brewcie though
  14. I'm not sure if they're trolls, shills or just plain thick, literally every argument comes down to him saving us financially and we can only spend what we earn and also that our commercial income is about average for a PL team. No wider picture, no acknowledgement that we don't even try to compete, it's bizarre, like they live in a whole different world and completely ignore the evidence around them. I've done arguing with stupid, it's too tiring.
  15. I've blocked the cretin now, he talks too much bollocks for me, however there's been another few Ashleyites crawl out the woodwork, claiming everything is bright and breezy. I think I've had enough Twitter for one day.
  16. Just last night having this argument on Twitter (I know, I know) genuinely people believe we're in the SAME position as we were when Ashley took over and he's doing good: And that we've leapfrogged team under Ashley: These people deserve the club the way it is now.
  17. Maybe he’s just not getting coached or developed properly. Who would you prefer to work under, Rafa and his coaches or the three fucking Steves of the Apocalypse? Yeah I read your point but I cannot blame Sean. I fully blame Bruce and the other two jokers. They are complete amateurs compared to the previous staff and it’s not a surprise he’s regressed at a crucial point of his development. They're both really young and still learning their game, I'm sorry but Rafa brought Sean in and he looked comfortable, knew what was needed of him and played the way he was asked to play. Follow that up with a slap on the arse and a "go get em laddo" and you soon start to understand what's going on. It takes a special kind of professional to thrive in this absolute car crash situation, ambitionless and clueless from the top down, it's hard for anyone to make strides in that scenario.
  18. So it's his training methods then Medical team deal with injuries retroactively, the manager and his assistants are expected to be proactive in their prevention of injury
  19. Offers literally nothing, can't take a man on, can't cross, can't even control a ball, so poor.
  20. He must have been spinning mirrors instead
  21. Absolute cheek of it!! Won't pay £16m for Rondon but demanding £20m for a striker the same age and less ability in the PL, how does no one call out the utter hypocrisy of it?
  22. I believe he changed his name by deed poll to Lee Brexit Cattermole as a parting gift to the patriot city of Sunderland
