Well that was fun I echo the above opinion, we all can agree that Ashley is the real problem, Bruce's involvement is up for interpretation and his ability/results are too. Trouble is, you come in after Rafa and you're going to be measured with a Rafa sized stick, no one could truly replace him and anyone that came in after that fiasco was going to get pellets and do you blame the fans for feeling that way? Whether it's Bruce's fault or not it's a huge slap in the face and confirmation that survival is the dizzying heights of ambition, like it or not Bruce's past record is nothing short of discraceful and he shouldn't be here. Whether it's in the PL or tumbling down the tables, one day we will get rid of Ashley and we can all celebrate together, we all have differing opinions on how best to achieve that and what needs to happen. If you get triggered by other people's opinion then maybe you shouldn't be on here, we're all entitled to feel how we want to feel and attacking each other solves nothing. I think Bruce is a waste of space, he's an extension of Ashley, a shill and I want him gone, i want everyone gone until Ashley can't hire anyone any more, if it gets rid of him, I'd accept playing in the 3rd tier of football and I don't enjoy seeing us win because it's not us anymore, its Ashley FC and it doesn't deserve my love. I can understand people holding on to whatever is left and hoping we can stay in the league and be sold, I don't agree with it but I cam empathise. The only thing I can't understand is paying Ashley money to do what he's doing to the club.

Bruce once again proving he can't stamp his own image on the team and can't change a game, Ancelloti proving a good manager can make the right subs and changes to counter the issues on the pitch and we had no answer.
-
You only get that many individual errors in one game when the players are unsure of their role. This is down to coaching.

Stevie Brewcies Black & White pacifists! Trying to change formation again, stamping his image on this team good and proper
-
☝? mostly this, I can't accept him, not all through his own fault but because of what we had and what we've now got, once the Rafa ripples due down in that defence he won't know where to turn and we'll be where most of us expected us to be.

This thread is the gift that keeps on giving, so not only are we still comparing a diamond to a cabbage, now we're comparing our form to Leicesters title winning team and suggesting that xG doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things (so long as our defenders play up front)?! Some great regens in this Christmas, loony bin had a ban lift on mobile devices?

Well I refuse to believe anything until I see Odear[/member] post some slightly dubious WhatsApp conversations.

Fuck me sideways are we actually still entertaining a Rafa/Brewcie comparison? Bruce isn't even in the same universe as Rafa, not fit to polish the great man's glasses. Bruce isn't the worst manager we've had, he's got us in a decent position but he's just another Pardew. This thread is making my eyes bleed, I'm out

Well who'd have thought, not isolating him on the right where he's pretty much useless might get something out of him? Didn't watch the game, not too fussed about it all right now tbh. However, having said that, watching it back on twitter it gave me goosebumps seeing him finally score and the emotion on his face to have finally broken his duck. No one in the league deserved a goal more this weekend than Miggy, so pleased for him. Just can't help but have that niggling wish that it was under different circumstances. I hope things change soon because there's a lot to like about this team, nothing about the club.
-
Not watching just logged in to see what's happening, fucking stoked for Miggy whether we deserve it or not, that lad fucking does!
-
The absolute deepest he delves into his tactical mind is "he drifted in and out a little bit." What fantastic insight!
-
Let them get in with it. If they’re lucky they might be able to celebrate 15th position in May. What a day that’ll be... Reckon we might even confirm mathematical safety GW 37, halcyon days indeed!

Seems to be a distinct lack of Brewcie cheerleaders on the forum this evening, I wonder why that is?
-
And this is what we're dealing with: Dinosaur manager tried dinosaur tactics, what else can he do???
-
Yeah nothing to do with us having 0 shots on target. TBF the ref never took any shots either, sooo
-
Prevent a post Christmas GAME collapse?
-
Clearly the one and only reason people aren't queuing up to watch Brewcie ball, obviously, undoubtedly. I mean, what else could it possibly be???

Potentially and financially top 10 should be the bare minimum, not the dizzying heights of achievement. The dampening of expectations and lowering of self worth are the hallmarks of this regime's ownership. We have to accept this is how it is now, we can no longer rub shoulders with the elite of the premier league, but why? This isn't some turning of the tide, an unfortunate predicament due to a lack of resources, the game passing us by because others are being bank rolled by benevolent billionaires, sure it is to an extent. This is a decade of self harm, the only resources offered to the club a self made glass ceiling, this is years of asset stripping and revenue siphoning coming to a head. 11th is not an achievement, it's an overacheivement for a club that sets the bar inches from the ground and a fan base that's so used to being starved it rejoyces at the shit sandwich it gets to feast upon tonight. Short memories that neglect to remember the past, revising even the last managers ability to placate a desire to "enjoy" the match day experience with their friends, away from the horrors of family life. They say we're a sleeping giant, but until the supporters themselves wake up we'll remain in this slumber, sleepwalking back and forward to the championship and hitting snooze on cup competitions.

According to the Chronic most of these have gone now, utterly pathetic if true

I've never been a season ticket holder, I don't get up to the area much but have been back a few times this year. Honestly I'd have given my left nut to go to a game and meet up with some people but could not bring myself to even peruse the club shop. Believe me it is painful but why would I want to go back to an abusive long distance relationship? If you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem, simple as that. If you still go to matches you're accepting what this regime is doing to the club by funding them. I derive no joy from Brewcies Black & White army, I'm not at the point of wanting us to lose like I was under Pardew, I've watched much less of us this season than ever before though.

I think journalists are more culpable. Fans aren't usually political creatures, they are fairly simple minded for the most parts. You would expect local journalists to be asking the deeper questions, but that hasn't happened in Newcastle since the days of McKeag's ownership. The Chronicle used to be quite a voice back then, and they had a massive impact on the campaign to rid us of the parasite. Absolutely this, the Chronicle have the power to turn the fan base.

"Support the team!", but don't forget to boo them off after a poor result. Find this hilarious as if this doesn’t happen everywhere I find it hilarious that fans line Ashley's pockets while he sells off anything of value and siphens off any revenue he can to inflate his bank balance. Each to their own I guess.
