I can see LFEE's issue in that if he plays really well for us and we have to wave him off at the end of the season a la Remi, it'll be a kick in the dick. But even if we bought a left back and he was awesome, chances are someone could just as easily come in and buy him off us. It's a risk free way of filling a problem area for a year and gives us a year to find a permanent replacement to the problem. Truth is we can't rely on Haidara and Mbabu and Dummett just isn't good enough at left back. Galloway can fill that gap and Haidara and Mbabu can be rotated in when available.

I tend to agree, we're paying him a wage and if he's as desperate for a move as much as he says he is then it's in his best interest to prove he doesn't belong in this league by being the best player on the pitch. Dummett is 4th choice CB for me, nothing else, Anita should be 2nd choice right back and Colback should be shot with shit. We really are pinning our hopes on Diame being the spark we need from MF as there are no other options, Shelvey hasn't the desire for the challenge and we desperately need a proven goalscorer and a left winger to give us some width and less predictability. I'm sure Benitez already knew most of this and will work it out before the transfer window "slams" shut.
