  1. Depends on how Pardew goes after this one, could go either way but the recent slump we're in could have set the rot in again. We could kick on from a valiant display from the Manc game also. I've edged my bets and gone for the score draw.
  2. I think 82% of fans are like battered wives who are too scared of life without emotional scaring!
  3. Tmonkey (not quoting your essay) I completely agree with you, I don't trust Pardew to utilise the players at his disposal, there's fans without any coachin badges that can see the flaws in his tactics and team selection! I also agree that our transfer policy, on paper, is ideal, however the major flaw is that more often than not once we've lost grip on that number 1 target and after all the transfer tennis we more often than not come away with nothing but a bloody nose. I'd rather us not be held to random, but I'd rather us also fill the gaping voids in our team required to make progress.
  4. Not seen the guy to form an opinion, however as long as Carr is choosing the players I have absolute faith in them being able to cut it. What I don't have is the faith that form can be maintained by our current coaching setup!

Feel sorry for this guy, obviously lost all confidence and doesn't get the service he needs to build it back up. Pretty much nailed on we won't see him back at his best now. I still think there's a quality player behind that beaten man and wherever he goes he'll be banging them in again, I guaranty it. Unless Pardew leaves there's no future for him here now.
  6. On the question of real excitement, Ben Arfa was my last one. Remy was underwhelming after a pitiful transfer window and tbh I didn't think he'd make much of an impact given how badly the team had been playing and him being the only acquisition.
  7. Rediculous that the ptb think that one loan signing over two transfer windows is an acceptable amount to even challenge staying in the top ten?!? Baffling.
  8. An honest question as I didn't see the game, was working, but do you think we'd have played with the same intensity and passion had that goal not been disallowed? I.e. we're we just going through the usual motions and that sparked us into life? I only ask because its a criticism of Pardew that he can't motivate a team and that's why we only seem motivated against better opposition (the players self motivating) and so our motivation for this game was the objectionable refereeing. Or did Pardew just get it right and we play it right from the off?
  9. So glad I'm at work! Thought I'd pop on to see how we're doing and now I'm out! Not interested in this drivel I'll only end up being a miserable bastard for the next few days. One last thing.... Fuck off Pardew
  10. Can't believe 10.5% of a forum members are glue sniffers, thank can't be a fair reflection on society surely!?

Is he good at defending? /Pardew
  13. Yes that's a fair comment. Agree with this. We played a bit of a mixed style under Hughton, there's no way it was all hoof balls and knock downs though - at our best we played some really entertaining football, some of it direct and some of it on the deck. You could say the same for Bobby Robson's teams, not that I'm saying that Hughton's wasn't more direct. You could argue we've played better football this season in terms of keeping it on the deck (if you think that's all that there is to it - I don't) but back then we had less technically adept players but wouldn't often sit on a lead, and were generally involved in more entertaining games. Yep spot on. Thoroughly enjoyed it and made great use out of the players he had at his disposal. We also played as a team much better then too. Too many jonny foreigners
  14. : "It's always tough to come to Upton Park and get a result. I think we did well to contain them to very few chances. I was hoping for a moment of magic from Hatem in the last 20 minutes to maybe nick it, but I don't think neither me nor Sam can complain about a draw here." It's only funny cuz it's true!
  15. But.... Man City...... Tired legs.... Not match ready.... Midweek game. We was tired scientifically watching the sovereign state play.
  16. Do you not see the blind irony in your own posts? As opposed to your view, when we win its Pardew in all his glory and when we lose its those pesky gutless players!?
  17. There's also the possibility that the 'remit' is one created with a limited manager out of his depth?
  18. That's the problem though isn't it? He's a confidence manager and one or two losses has him scratching his head and thinking its all gone to shit so he has to change it, then it's a case of damage limitation in every game. We saw it all last season and it's creeped into his game again after a few losses on the bounce. It honestly makes me fearful for the rest of the season now.
  19. Just my two penneths worth, but how can you say he's not out of his depth when she's shitting it before a game and talking up how we were able to "contain" the mighty Cardiff after?!? He has a lot of good to excellent players that he has no idea (a) how to incorporate into the team and (b) where they should be positionally! He has one way of playing, if that doesn't work it's hoof it to Shola time. His subs are reactive, not proactive. Need I go on? If that's not the mark of a limited manager way out of his depth then you've lost me!?
  20. 60 minutes of containment football, being Hatem on looking to "nick" a goal, go one, two down, blame Hatem for everything bad in the world and bench him.
  21. We will never be fluid because Pardew wants to shoehorn players into how he wants to play his nega-football instead of developing a system that utilises the good players we have in their strongest positions. Sissoko, Ben Arfa and Anita as case and point. This will NEVER change no matter who we sign.
  22. I never understand people posting status about football on their Facebook ?! Is it a common thing, or am I missing something ?! Facebook status updates should be only for emergency cases only, which makes it 8-10 times a year maximum. Imagine posting a status about your team winning and receiving 74 of those annoying notifications in likes/comments. Nah, f*** that. I never understood it either, if I wanted a running commentary I'd go on a live update website for said team, not sit refreshing my Facebook newsfeed. I have been known to post one or two comments when we've won a particularly important match but never used it to vocalise my wankfest every time some goofy toothed, diving, racist scores.
  23. Thinks he's better than he is, how many second chances can a waste of space like this get? Had the world at his feet, thousands of kids would do anything to get half the opportunities he's had. Plastic gangsta who needs bringing down a peg or two.
  24. I was enjoying the Facebook silence from all the plastic fans but now all the (previously silent) bin dippers are coming out the woodwork, even though they've slid off the pace again. Nothing worse than fake mancs and scousers, wish they'd all fuck off into obscurity (Not you Froggy, you're alright)
