  1. Dortmund should get all their players back and score with some "magic" on the break, it's the future.
  2. That Dortmund attack was like watching us "break" 2 on 6
  3. How the fuck have Bayern got all their players on the pitch?? Bunch of diving, cheating, dirty bastards.
  4. Bayern should have taken to the Olympics with that diving, they'd certainly push for a podium finish.

I don't either but the manager is part of the model unfortunately. True, which is why I said that the owner has to take ultimate responsibility. Pardew should have been sacked but Ashley bottled it because he didn't want to deal with a real manager who would give him a hard time. Totally agree and you can see on this board a lot of the anguish has been turned against Ashley, the tide has turned over the past few days.

I don't either but the manager is part of the model unfortunately. It's possible that Ashley is raging at Pardew's performance as well. He didn't hand him a long contract to have us battling relegation every year. Not sacking him yet doesn't mean he's happy to put up with this level of performance for ever. Strangely I do agree with you Ian but I'm not saying he's happy at last year, I think he'd be happy if we were to finish around 10th every year, I don't think he has ambition other than what his p&l looks like. I think he would rather be associated with the club in a way which is enjoyable and boosts his status as well though. He doesn't want to subsidise us obviously, but I don't think he bought us primarily to make money. There are much easier ways than football to do that. We've been through this argument loads of times anyway, unless we could ask him we're all just guessing. It's impossible to call of course, only a select few know his true intentions, but it doesn't look good ATM does it? He's backed a poor manager and had Lambiarse come out and give such a negative, un-ambitious statement about expectations. I haven't the foresight to predict next season but I'm not expecting much, if anything. I'll guess we'll see in hindsight, the proof will be Ashley's reaction to a bad start next season. If we come out and put in some real performances I'll take everything back.

Loans or not Ashley sees NUFC as an extension of his empire, one which he makes a good profit from, I never thought we were anything but another business model to him. He's quite within his rights to run it how he likes and take out what he likes, it's not ideal and I'm not particularly pleased about it but in business, the ultimate plan is to make a tidy profit and take what's your share out of it. All this corner cutting, including the bargain basement yes man just yields better profit margins for the fat man, it's what we have to accept. I don't think Ashley is a big believer in speculate to accumulate, he's a low risk taker so he'll be happy with sustainable mediocrity rather than take the risk of a higher outlay on a better manager and back room staff in the hope that it reaps better rewards and ultimately better profit margins.

Keep asking Bimpy, you might be happy one day! Just not today matey
  14. We should randomly announce that they're flying in to replace their manager with Pardew and want to give us £20m in compensation to cover his contract. Then keep feeding it to the press, two birds one stone

What gets me is this blind faith and amateur belief that keeping things the same creates stability!? Success breeds stability, having the RIGHT people in the right places creates stability. It'll all end in tears!

To be replaced by what though? What I'm saying is that these ups and downs are just a part of football. I think we're prolonging/extending our own decline. That has an effect on matters. If anything with this skid mark in charge we're accelerating our demise, we had all the right words to attract some good quality continental players with our ideas and plans, how are we gonna sell a vision to anyone now with the evidence we have on record. Players will leave, others, based on evidence, won't join. This was a pivotal moment in our modern history and we took the wrong fork in the road.

I don't recall, was it Ben Arfa or Cabaye that called for more ambition last year? Whoever it was has got their life ring firmly round their arse and is stood on the stern of the ship ready to jump!

He's still relatively short odds to not be here at the start of the season 6/4 which is a little odd?

I don't even blame him tbh, he is what he is. He's a fraud in the first degree, he'll happily ride the gravy train until he's thrown off it, easy money if you just keep nodding at Ashley. Why would he walk, he has no shame?

What a complete show of ineptitude, I'm utterly dumbfounded that we have so little ambition. There's a proven manager with a good, if not impressive footballing pedigree and we stick with this skid mark of a man? Something is fundamentally wrong with the sanity of our board. I think I've even lost hope that we're we to be struggling next season he might be replaced, if they're believing his horse shit now then he'll keep peddling it until the end of next season. They've given him a minimum of a top half finish, this season we could have managed that up until the final week, that tells me he'll be here all season. Last year was a blip, a great blip, but one that Pardew has no chance of repeating. We will never buy the type of players he's after because premiership experience comes with a price and those that don't, don't because they are shit! No amount of players will change his limited tactical skills and negative approach to the game so I expect nothing to change. Unfortunately Ashley doesn't care about the style of football, he has no pride in the team, they're just his employees and so long as they reach a certain bench mark in the league, he's getting paid an that's what counts. I will support the team next season, because I bleed black and white and I have to, I just can't not, but I'll back Pardew when hell freezes over, he can fuck right off, had enough of his bullshit excuses to last me a lifetime. Underwhelmed and prepared for perpetual mediocrity!
