  1. They've got a decent spine in there with Killman, Diouf, Poquetta, Ward-Prowse and Bowen, the rest is pretty horrific though but a decent manager could get a tune out of them.
  2. The duality of nervousness and excitement for this one, hoping Eddie can produce another classic for us, my only concern is goals, would love for Woltemade to make a statement tomorrow and put these to the sword. Into these!!
  3. Got zero control over his facial expressions and his jaw is all over the place, how's he not been "randomly" drug tested??
  4. He played how everyone else played, fast, aggressive and progressive, it was a high risk, high reward performance that meant a few wrong choices and wayward passes would be made and they were, by everyone. As has been mentioned, this looked like Howes plan for this game, quick passing through the middle, don't give them chance to block the lines and sit low, it meant we would probably see a high turnover rate but our back line were trusted to deal with any breakaway, which they did in the main. So I do believe he did everything right in that he moved the ball quickly and got into his positions and broke the line a few times, the only thing he was missing for me was being clinical when he got in behind. But I take your point, he's better when he doesn't overthink the shot and has to snap at it.
  5. Gordon did everything right last night but he needs to find his shooting boots again, start chipping in with goals and he'll be undroppable.
  6. I can see Arsenal going out away to Brighton, all the usual suspects get an easy game though, colour me shocked. Would love Palace to do football a favour and knock out chequebook FC. Spurs is a tough test but I back us against anyone at home.
  7. Pope Tino Botman Burn Hall Bruno Tonali Joelinton Murphy Woltemade Gordon Into these! Got us down for a 2-0 win but it'll be a tough test for us, trust Eddie to get the tactics spot on though, he has lego heeds number.
  8. Enjoyable first half, nice to watch a game without any anxiousness for a change
  9. Their whole back 4 is suspect, Frimpong is a speed merchant with no end product and Kerkez looks pony, then you've got genital Wirtz looking lost, although Gravenberch looks good and Szobosklei is decent too. They just don't look a solid PL championship winning team, but a potential front 3 of Salah, Ekitike and Voldemort is the best on paper in the league. For numerous reasons I will continue to hate watch in earnest but they look suspect to be having an immaculate record and so far have looked to be lucky rather than deserving of most of their wins, is it sustainable though? I hope not because I'm here for the schadenfreude.
  10. I think the only likely missing player will be Tonali as he's not had a rest yet, maybe Woltemade, but I think a game against lower league opposition would be a tonic for him gaining some confidence, look what it did for that new Liverpool striker that was struggling for form. I'd expect Thiaw and Botman to be our CB pairing for this too and Gordon will be in as he needs the minutes, I'd go: Ramsdale Trippier Thiaw Botman Hall Joelinton Miley Bruno Elanga Woltemade Gordon More than enough without running anyone into the ground.
  11. Some kind of dance with the devil
  12. I've just been a little bit sick in my mouth

    Joe Willock

Playing with the handbrake on, you can see it when he's "carrying" the ball upfield, 2023 Willock gets in behind and strips his marker, now he's turning back and passing back into midfield or walking into a dead end and losing it.

    Yoane Wissa

Yeah there's no argument there to keep Wilson at all, maybe we would have got a little more game time out of him in the short run but if you've watched him at all for West Ham then I think he would have been just another useless body, sadly his legs have gone, fit or not he no use to anyone now. Wissa will likely miss the best part of 15 games but will still offer more over the season than 2025 Wilson ever could.
  15. I'm currently in Rhodes, somehow ended up watching more football than I usually would
  16. There's only so much you can attribute to incompetence before you have to question if it's just corruption. You can clearly see Penandez's sleeve is offside and by the rules that they've applied themselves to other games, it's offside, you can't even argue against it. As others have said its probably better for us in the long run if Manchester reds win this but the manner in which they are doing leaves a rancid taste in my mouth.
  17. Thought he had Rashford on toast last night, stopped everything down our right hand side, Trashford only scored from set pieces by losing his marker and that wasn't on Trippier. Having said that, my preferred line up would be Hall and Livramento but Trippier still has a lot to offer this team.
  18. Willock did look like he was back to his best physically but definitely rusty in his decision making but it's to be expected with the kind of time he's had out the game.

    Malick Thiaw

I thought him and Botman looked a good pairing when they came on, with Schar and Burn the wrong side of 30 they'll have time and chance to settle into a strong partnership.
  20. You sound like the mackems every time we play someone decent, don't you think we had something to do with their ability to play the way they usually do?
  21. This Barca team will steamroller most teams in this competition, we went toe to toe with them and had a real chance of winning that game. No shame in losing 2-1 to Barcelona guys, none at all.
  22. I remember feeling quite bad for Klopp in the early years, always came across well and was quite magnanimous early on, it was only in the later years he started throwing needless shade and gnashing those turkey teeth at the camera, but I think the pressure of the job got to him, that's why he left. Slot has just come in and within a few months shown himself to have unmatched arrogance and victimhood, like he's leached the Liverpool way almost immediately and for that I wish them nothing but abject failure and misery. I will be hate watching in earnest on the regular.
