I still reckon he starts tomorrow
-
I still say keep him and sell him as soon as someone from Europe comes in for him, much rather take £100-120m for him from say Barca than £150m+ from the dippers, not that they'll ever pay that much. Even if we get Wissa in too, it just means he'll have to try even harder to get that move away if we don't need him all that much. We have an interesting 3 days ahead of us.
-
Can't wait to see him bang in 3 against Leeds in the first 45
-
We won't sell Isak unless we get Wissa
-
This is better than any of us could have hoped for, just when we were thinking it was looking so bleak, amazing business and keeping it under wraps too is awesome
-
I'm hoping he starts on Saturday, bolstered by his goal against the current champions and with a point to prove, there will be no lack of effort from him leading the line. I hope he takes this opportunity with both hands.

Cometh the hour, cometh the man
-
TBF he already needs one, we'll just have to upgrade it to 24 karat gold if he manages that
-
I was hoping this or something, anything would be done for Leeds, now it looks like our striker search goes down to the wire and we go with Osula leading the line on Saturday
-
This is getting really desperate now, something needs to happen ASAP or we're in for an horrific season of firing blanks.
-
£365m NET spend in the last 5 years, but that's not what he was alluding to and you know that, he took over a club at he bottom of the PL in October and had them in the CL by the end of his first full season in charge, £108m spend btw
-
Not a chance he would take that job IMHO
-
A few Man Utd fans I've spoken to are adamant Interim either walks or is sacked after Burnley and they're confident of getting Howe in to replace him
-
It does feel like a constant addition to an already matted and disgusting patchwork quilt. The best course of action from the outside, I would agree, is an acceptance of lower finishes for a couple of seasons and clear out the decks and start again.
-
If this gets another knock back it might be prudent just to go all in on Jackson, not ideal but he would do a job.
-
I wonder if we've asked Chelsea to keep Jackson as an option for us to see what happens with our other deals, it's well known we have a good relationship with them and Jackson is probably still in our thinking as a last resort to at least have an option up front. However, it was also mentioned a week or so ago that they wanted to use the Isak sale as a benchmark to the price they would ask for Jackson, so there's that possibility too?

I don't even know where they go from here, so much wrong with the club as a whole and glaring holes in their lopsided squad. A lot of money spent on a fresh front line that, at the moment, looks very toothless. I don't think there's one single answer to this issue.
-
If its true that we haven't fined him yet then I think that's the biggest indicator that we have no intention of selling him and digging our heels in harder than he has. At this stage I don't think it matters what Liverpool bid for him, through sheer pride and stubbornness the Saudis will tell them where to go. Isak isn't going to strike all season so it's just a matter of when he's prepared to come back now and I think he'll be back in the squad straight after the international break. In the meantime I just hope we manage to get someone in to lighten the load and take the pressure off the rest of the team.

Value of the entire Grimsby Town squad is £3.1m

Why do people keep saying it's our fault? Who could have foreseen so many targets go to other teams and at the same time Isak going on strike? We haven't gotten to this position for any other reason than a series of complete blind-siding events.
