Is it possible he is playing with some injury niggles?
-
Unless Bayern finds Isak to have shitty character......
-
Why is Bayern interested in Jackson but not in Isak? Find it strange.
-
They are going to spend a few weeks on getting this done as they did with Mbeumo
-
I was on board with Nicolas Jackson until I saw that he is underperforming his XG by 0,25, that is massive. He has the same shot on target per 90 as Isak with a much lower XG90 and even lower G90. This look really grim and to pay 70m for that is criminal I think.

ManU still need to match our offer to RB.
-
I think, as it stands, we don't need to sell Isak even if we sign Sesko. But it would other signings bar 1 maybe impossible. We still hold the ace in this but a quick resolution would benefit both us and liverpool. There offer was kind of shit (110m) having spoken about 120m and us valuing him at 150m. I don't think 150m is unreasonable for the top striker in Europe at the age of 26. Isak is so all-rounded player and his only 2 disadvantages are injuries and being a really unprofessional this summer.
-
For me it is simple. Isak should not be sold unless, 1) We get a suitable replacement for him (and we are already a striker down) 2) We get at least 150m for him, anything less will make us weaker. So we would need 2 strikers to replace him, like i.e. Wissa and Sesko. If not, we will need 1 striker and Isak will have to stay. He will get over this and most likely be sold next summer. Isak leaving is not the end of the world. Howe seems to improve most players that have joined us and he is our most valuable asset at the club atm. Newcastle still holds all the cards, not Liverpool despite pressure from the media and Romano (who looks like to be on Liverpool payroll).

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Fully understand Liverpool jumping in, they are desperate for a striker. Most irritating about this is Newcastle do all the negotiating work for Liverpool and then they jump in. -
Isn't it likely that 67-68 point would be enough for a 5th place CL spot? That would be 5 wins from the 8 left. It is doable but not easy. ManU (h) W Palace (h) W Villa (a) L Ipswich(h) W Brighton (a) L Chelsea (h) W Arsenal (a) L Everton (h) W This would give us 68.

Chelsea winning the EC would only give them a spot in EL unless the rules have changed.

Do supporters gather at some pub before the game?

He has been so important to the club. He brings professionalism, belief, fight and experience. His bad form could just be about his personal life. Having gone through such an ordeal, it takes a massive toll and hits you mentaly and physicly. I hope he stays and takes up some kind of role at the club when he retires. But for all he has given to the club, if he wants to leave we should allow him that in the summer.

Yeah, just like we are twats over Isak and Villa over Watkins to Arsenal. We are so small time
-
Isak has improved so much since joining us imo. I admit I didn't see him in Spain at all, but his progress from when he first joined to how he is now is enormous. My point is that Howe is a big factor in that and if we need to replace Isak at some point because we are not "there yet", I am somewhat confident that Howe will find a solution (provided he will get a replacement he approves off).

I expected something about them backing up our statement about being against racism after the abuse on Willock and Bruno, but instead going into the mud-fight with Arteta.
-
Should have gotten Maddison instead of Barnes. Gordon was a stupid buy and wont amount to anything. We missed the boat with Tielemans. We overpaid massivly for Isak. Tonali is just another Italian how will crumble with the pace of the Premier league, he doesn't even want to be here.

1. City 60 2. Arsenal 53 3. ManU 52 4. Liverpool 51 5. Villa 49 6. Newcastle 47 7. Brighton 44 8. Brentford 44 9. Spurs 34

Villa had a good spell from when Emery took over in November. From that day Villa were the 5th best team in the league acquiring 49 points vs 47 acquired by Newcastle (in 6th). They have also recruited very well in this window with Diaby, Pau Torres and Tielemans. I think people are just recognizing that they have a proper setup now and will push for top 6. Still think we will finish above them.
