Swiss ramble with his analysis of our accounts: Summary: Even though income fell by 2m and expences rose by 2.5m Newcastle still returned a very healthy ebitda (56m) and profit (41m). Player amortisation relatively low for a mid-table club and our wage bill is 14th highest in the PL (was 5th highest before Ashley bought the club). This reflects Ashleys strategy and ambition. Also, Ashley is still skimming us with stadium advertising.

The Man City ownership is the same way. 78% Abu Dhabi group 12% China Media Capital 10% Silver Lake (American investment group)

I'm definitively not welcome in any cliques after starting this argument.

Great, now the human rights activists can quit facebook, not watch Disney movies and never drink starbucks (along with not using Uber).

Does it matter if you are a new member or not? Haven't noticed any attitude towards new members, albeit that might change if the forum will get flooded with new members if the club becomes successful. But that is to be expected, change will always rattle people (me included).

Aren't Man City owned my a sovereign wealth fund in part. I'm sure I read somewhere that their resources were similar to PIF (300bn odd) are just just showing Mansours wealth for dramatic effect there? Man City is 78% owned by Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment (ADUG). It looks like it is a investment fund specifically for Man City and is owned by Sheik Mansour, not by Abu Dhabi. It was news to me that the ownership of Man city is similarly constructed as PCP is planning for Newcastle. 78% by Abu Dhabi group, 12% China Media Capital group and 10% Silver Lake (American group). I've seen a lot of comments (many on other clubs forums) about how the construction of ownership of Newcastle being questioned as opposed to ManCity being owned 100% by Sheik Mansour, like it is a hint that PIF don't mean business with Newcastle.

Is anything being directed at Newcastle, isn't it just Amnesty protesting (which it has done before) and Bein sports

Just started the first episode and the Donald "Edit" Charlie Methven is so much like David Brent. It is hilarious watching him talk about him self being a good leader and how the team will look up to him.

Was there any type of questioning when they were trying for Manu?

Pardew led Newcastle to their best league finish in over 10 years. Pardew wasn't sacked so how is that comparable??

Never sure if post like this is some sort of a humor or people are actually watching planes and helicopter traffic..

He is important, but the stats don't tell everything. The games he missed were: Spurs h - loss Cardiff a - draw Man City a - loss Arsenal h - loss Crystal Palace a - draw Leicester h - loss ManU a - loss Brighton h - loss Southampton a - draw Wolves h - loss Liverpool a - loss Chelsea a - loss Bournemouth a - draw Arsenal a - loss We could have changed a few losses to draw and draws to wins.

thanks, not the best memory I guess

Was that a left foot, right foot and a header hat trick? Not sure but think his first was with his right foot (second definitely was)

That would be something to do that again. Saw a list on Chronicle about what clubs are spending in wages. According to that list, Newcastle was ranked 17th in the Premier league. So we are punching above our weight in terms of wage/league position ration. Add to that the Deloitte money league where Newcastle are ranked 19th in the world and 8th in the Premier league which shows that we should have plenty of room to invest. Hopefully the swiss-ramble blog will do an analysis of our accounts once they are release. Last years accounts were a bit sketchy including some accounting tricks.

Seems to have started off well at Sheffield Wednesday. Hopefully he can stay fit and playing. He needs playing time to progress.
-
According to Deloitte Money league report, Newcastles revenue for 2017/2018 season is 178m pounds which is 19th highest in the world and 8th highest in the PL. The 91m is most likely from the Championship season.

Aron Gunnarsson is important to the Cardiff team. Without him they have 2 points from 9 games. With him they have 23 points from 17 games. If he stays fit they have a change to survive.

I don't think Ashley is valuing what Rafa has actually brought to the club. Fans started to believe in the club again, match attendance was increadable in the Championship. If Rafa leaves Newcastle will loose attendance, league position and might well get relegated again. It's to much of a risk to gamble with in my opinion. The only thing that I can think of stopping Ashley from investing in players is that he wants to sell badly (I'm hoping). But that is also a big gamble to pull the plug before you sell. See what happend to Villa and Sunderland, who both had owners wanting out and used the same tactic.
