  1. Found a clip of the incident: https://twitter.com/AbsoIuteIyAyoze/status/991001727657828354/video/1
  2. Stupid of Slimani and should be banned. When I watched the game, the commentators Dawson doing something which caused Slimani to react, can't find the incident now. However Dawson rolling in the grass pretending to be injured with the intention to get him banned is not something I like.
  3. Agree with that, but that is a global problem, or at least a 1st world problem. My feeling is that Newcastle and the north east is a perfect soil for producing excellent footballers, but maybe the "gardening technics" aren't up to date. Not sure how the youth program is for young footballers in the north east but that is where it needs to begin. Newcastle youth academy can't be responsible for it, it only handles a hand full of kids.
  4. Why isn't the area producing good players at the same rate as before? This should be a prime area for good players, football is almost a religion and kids should be interested, playing football day-in day-out. Is the coaching not up to scratch or a lack of facilities for young people to play at?
  5. Why change a winning team? because gayle keeps missing loads of chances and we brought in a £28m striker to try to stop that happening EDIT: miss the chances against the likes of arsenal and you'll get punished, basically His last 90 min was on the 1st of January. He will not start.
  6. He is truly the David Brent of football management. You are so wrong to hate him, you should all just enjoy him while he is still employed.
  7. Here is my take on it (voted 5 in the poll):
  8. If I remember correctly, when Rafa came with 10 games to go in 2016, it was said that never had a manager change so late in the season saved a club in the PL. Still think it would be a correct decision for West Brom just like it was for us in 2016.
  9. ICELAND IS GOING TO RUSSIA 2018!!!!
  10. Gylfi with a goal and an assist. Iceland 2 - 0 Kosovo
  11. Iceland winning 1-0 against Kosovo. Winning will guarantee Iceland the top spot in group I and a ticket to Russia 2018.
  12. Turkey with comical defending in 1st half. May it long continue. Turkey 0 - 2 Iceland
  13. He will not stay if he belives the group doesn't have enough to obtain his targets - whatever they are.

    more likely in the middle.

    Loïc Remy

Probably not. His best season in England came with us 4 years ago, he could have built on that but instead chose to be on the bench for Chelsea. Has lost some pace and been injured alot. Not keen on having him here now.
  16. There was an article about this a few days ago. If I remember correctly we have tried to get him to stay but it isn't up to us even though he has a year left on his contract. He is free to leave and sign for Everton. 6m for a player that has never played a game for the senior team seems high to me. He must be a hell of a prospect! http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/lewis-gibson-newcastle-united-everton-13337473

Sunderland are in for a though season. Many of their fans think they are going to walk it without sweating. There top arguments are: - They won the league after their 15 points relegation in 2006 - Championship is piss poor, their u23 team would do well there - Newcastle won it and they are shit IMO Sunderland are not totally doomed, but they need to get the shit together fast. They need to get rid of high earners, which will be difficult for them. They need someone to provide them with goals, Borini and Anichebe will not be enough. They haven't scored much this season (28 goals) and more than half (15) came from Defoe who is leaving. They will need 2 strikers which will cost them around 25m. They will not generate much through sales and wages will be high, so the owner needs to provide extra funds for squad investment. But all of this will be pointless if Moyes can't get the team harmony right. Sunderland will also have a lot of competition. Hull will finish above them in the Premier league and didn't invest heavily after being promoted last year so they should be lean financially and much better equipped to invest for promotion run. Hull also have less of a cleanup job to do. Middlesboro is almost the same as Hull and are good candidate for promotion push. I expect Villa also to be in playoffs/promotion contention. Leeds will get stronger if they keep Monk and invest a bit. Leeds have a strong income for a Championship club. Fulham, Reading and Sheffield Wednesday (one will be promoted) will be in top 6. But I'm not expecting Huddersfield to push so high again, seem to have lost their form in the end of this season. I have no faith in Derby, they have a strong squad but always managed to fuck it up. But they might make the playoffs. There is much work to do for Moyes. Get the team mentality right, get the owner to commit money. After that he still has 46 games to get through.
  20. Last year Hull was promoted but still had the worst form over 10 games over the 4 playoff contenders. Granted the form was very similar for all teams and when looking at the last 6 games Hull was acctually the best. 2015 Norwich had the best form and was promoted through the playoffs. So recent league form seems to be a indicator of how teams will do in the playoffs and judging by the last 6 games Fulham are the strongest.
