He's never managed to turn things around once they've started going tits up. Forest being a classic example. Wanted him to really give it a go, but in all honesty the squad we've got just don't arent good enough. We've no decent centre half, no wingers, one injury away from having no decent full backs and to top it off, we've no fucker who looks like scoring over 10 goals a season.

completely agree about the culture point. It takes more than one man, and far more than a few months to change the culture at a club. The influence of Pardew and Carver et al will take longer to purge, and that's not even taking into account the shite that goes on above their heads. McClaren needs time to see if he can turn things around.

So ponderous going forward. He needs to grow a pair and getting some players on the pitch that care to fucking run into space. Piss easy for fucking Watford today.
-
They're completely in control. Playing like the home side.
-
He's in the team because he's English. Waste of a shirt.

I still believe the rot was so entrenched that even now it's going to be hard to get that squad playing anything decent on a consistent basis. Colback is an absolute waste of a shirt, however. No excuses whatsoever to starting him.

Always liked Shelvey. Very surprised Liverpool got rid when they did. After only one season too, right?

The lack of accountability refs have is disgusting - more so when obvious errors have cost sides points

Absolutely superb. Nailed that cunt Sullivan.

Inter's squad these days, man.

Agreed. The squad is absolutely piss poor. Look at central midfield, shed loads of 'competition' for places yet no balance and no outstanding talent. It's filled with shite and potential. There's no spine, no leadership and to top it off, they've all been coached by complete neanderthals for years. I'm prepared to let SM at least have a reasonable amount of time to see what he can do with them but, in truth, we don't have players that are good enough and its therefore unsurprising that we struggle.

It's been 2 games, and he's been left with squad coached by a bunch of complete fuckwits and used to being hoyed out on the field and told to get on with it for 90 mins. It's going to take time and the more patience that can be afforded the better imo. Expectations are pretty low anyway tbh, but I have faith he'll recognise the deficiencies in talentless no-marks like Obertan soon enough.

Waste of fucking money.

Thought he looked better when he was moved to the right and could cut in. Looked like the perfect Robben replacement for when he is done. Looked much less of a threat on the left with Alaba playing further up than him a lot of the time. Aye. Thought that too with regards to being Robben's replacement. That cross he put in for the third goal was superb.

Such a relief to be rid of those knackers we had in charge this time last year.

Douglas Costa was brilliant tonight for Bayern.
-
Ter Stegen looks totally out of his depth whenever I've seen him.

West Brom have had their fair share of utterly detestable managers in recent years. Di Matteo and now Pulis. Urgh. Will be interesting to see how Rondon gets on there and whether he'll be the difference for them finishing mid or lower table.
-
Not bitter at all then, I see.
-
I'd have to agree, much as I loathe Stoke and absolutely detest Mark Hughes. Arrogant cunt.
-
Was refreshing to see a game plan, of sorts, in the process of development rather than 11 blokes thrown out onto the pitch and told to get on with it.

How's Colback doing?
