Pardew's done a great job so far. Just goes to show how much a little bit of success can raise expectations. I'm fucking delighted where we are and, whilst we'll have frustrating games like Fulham and Brighton, it wasn't so long ago that we were playing in the Championship. We've come a long way in a short time and Pardew's played a key role in that transition. He deserves time.

I had a feeling we'd be in for this guy when Pards was at Boro/Burnley the other week, and he scored (again). Good player is Rodriguez. Burnley would be looking to get far more than our budget would allow though I reckon. If they rejected £5m in the summer, they'd be wanting at least that now.

A few of my Spurs supporting mates can't stand Adebayor for some reason. I think he's played well for you lot this season - even if he really ought to score more goals. Whenever I've seen Spurs this year I've always thought he works hard, holds up the ball well, and makes the difference at times. What are the chances he'll be signed permanently?

Just speculating here, but given Pardew's recent remarks, i.e. about wanting to keep our cards close to our chest, that the club are following Hughton's old tactic of 'deny everything'. By that means: - Fans won't have preconceived expectations as to who's coming in/out - thus staving off pressure that would otherwise be placed on the club. - It might work to the club's advantage in so far as they can get deals done on the quiet without alerting others clubs to players' availability. Could be wrong mind, but if this is a deliberate ploy, it's working, because I'm expecting no-one to come in.

Aside from QPR, have any other clubs made offers for Samba?
