Jonas Gutierrez signed from Mallorca on 5 year deal
WarrenBartonCentrePartin replied to magorific's topic in Football
its just dawned on me he'll be going back there to play in that pre-season tournament. -
There's all sorts of s*** going on- Moyes hasn't signed a contract still, supposedly doesn't know his budget, the people who underwrote the loans for last seasons transfer activity Phillip Green and his stooge Robert Earl are rumoured to want out due to it looking increasingly likely that the Kirkby stadium won't happen (thank f***). Takeover rumours were flying about a few weeks ago. Papers don't seem interested though. The papers aren't interested for whatever reason though. I hope that wasn't a complaint! I know you're probably like us and want to know whats going on at your club, but be grateful they've haven't reported it with a malicious twist like we've experienced.

Joey Barton is a very naughty boy. Discuss.

just need MJ to come on now to confirm this from either his auntie that works 'daan the laaane' or carrying quotes from the all-mighty and all-knowing gods that are the ITK's of the spurs message boards.

The Euro 2008 thread: Spain are European champions
WarrenBartonCentrePartin replied to madras's topic in Football
this could be interesting. No signing for Spain's national anthem. We'll see how vocal they are... EDIT: poor. Were any of them singing? -

FourFourTwo reported that Shaggy was going to be doing the official song. I'm gutted. -

I voted for Russia. In all seriousness I can see the Jormans grinding out a very ugly win. -
dear oh dear. Can't see that working at all if it were to happen.

the OP is someone from that German magazine/newspaper, Blick basically saying that they think the time has come for Derdiyok to move abroad, and a couple of quotes. Apparantly they've knocked back a 1.5m francs bid from Trabzonspor.

Ayala is about 35 now though isn't he? I suppose a player/coach deal would be alright if he were interested. Can't think of many people better for Taylor/Edgar/Tozer etc to take heed from.

I think we should just go all out to make me dad and the older generation proud by making a big effort to sing "go left go left/magpie ranger" or whatever as much as possible.

first time I've seen this. Did it with nufc.com. This was quite funny... "1998 new Toon dawg Stephane Guivarc'h came on fo` France afta 77 scoreless minutes against Paraguay in Lens. The host nation eventually qualified fo` tha World Cup Baller Finals wit a golden goal, but wor Stephane did shawty ta aid tha victory. 2001 Meanwhile,Stephen Glass agreed ta jizzy Watford playa Hornets Chairman Elton John rang him up ta persuade him that Gianluca Vialli was tha dawg ta save his brotha"

the word for what? Andy Gray isn't a main commentator as John Motson is. He's just the ex-player to sit alongside and give his opinion.
-
Why do 5live feel the need to swap commentators during a game? I've never understood this. I'm not sure I could handle 90 minutes of Alan Green myself, so I'm thankful they do. True, although he's an exception.

Gerald Stinstadt (sp?) is worse. All he seems to be able to do is go "ooooooh"/"wooooah" whenever something dramatic happens.

Bobby Moncur wins his battle with cancer
WarrenBartonCentrePartin replied to Dokko's topic in Football
Great news to hear. However I'd like to point out to the fuckwit that wrote that article that Bobby Moore died in 1993, not 1983. -
If we sign him lets hope he's top of the pops.

Agent: 'Arda Turan will be playing in Italy this coming season'
WarrenBartonCentrePartin replied to a topic in Football
didn't someone from Milan (I want to say Burlusconi but I don't think it was - someone will have to correct me) say that Italian teams can no longer compete with those in Spain and England in terms of wages, and some transfer fees? This theory is simply clutching at straws, but say it was true Arda had his eye set on a move to Spain or England, then surely we would be able to outmuscle any Italian interest if there was some (Agent talk). I know we're not the only team interested, and this point is a bit muddled, but I'm just trying to keep a slim hope of optimism. -
Is everyone missing a trick here? Haven't you lot heard about 'The Barcelona Code'? It was in this book I was reading of the same title, think it was by this guy, Dan Brown or something. He's written another one that was quite popular, although this is less complicated. Basically if a player says he wants to join Barcelona, its a secret message really meaning he wants to join Newcastle United. The logic behind it is if he said he wants to join Newcastle outright, Spurs will make a bid and his dream could be shattered. The guy pointed out that Antoine Sibierski said he wanted to join Barcelona before he came to Newcastle. Sorry, just trying to keep spirits up before some on here fall into a state of manic depression.
