To be perfectly honest, I don’t think Lingard is up for it and that he care too much about his footballing career apart from getting as much money as he can in a final long-term contract somewhere. At 150k being 29, he is not going to be easy to shift if it comes to that. pre OGS Rashford was really good, and I’d pay £70m to get just that.

Don’t think Lingard has performed well enough to demand 150k tbh. Just because you have been a manure player all your life. I’d also question his motivation - here to contribute or pick up a paycheck? Might as well go for Rashford then. Same mold, only better imo.

ASM is not comparable to those named in the OP. ASM is fun to watch because he sometimes manages some flukes waving his hands like a chicken and drumming his feet like incontrollable drumsticks. But that's about it. With HBA, for example, it was just so much more quality there, and Robert was pure class at the time. You could probably argue he'd do better with better players around him, he seems to think so himself... he might be right, I might be wrong. But he will be nowhere near those named in the OP.

I didn't expect us to get away with anything but total slaughtering, but my God we are tame to watch. Running around like headless chickens, no plan, no structure, no flair, nothing. This team is not anywhere near doing what Brighton did yesterday. Most matches we seem to win by somekind of God given fluke.
