Was thinking earlier that his excuses were starting to remind me of Souness. Every thing is every one's fault except his. Oh, and if he was that good of a manager (by actually manage to manage), then I'm sure he would be able to work something better out. Because, at the moment he's losing every match... so in that sense any other person that could come in and win... or actually just draw, would be better.... it's a fact.

I find it strange how some people on here can actually defend this guy. Let look back a few months... This guy was awarded "Manager of the year", and oh boy! has he lived up to the words the year. He started this season with vitually the same squad that ended 2011/2012 in 5th place. I'm sure Ashley made Pardew aware of the restricted policies he had to work under when he first was appointed. And if he for some reason didn't, I'm sure he became aware of his working conditions when he signed an 8-year contract (which in my opinion was 5 years too much). Injuries happens all the time. It's not something new. A few years back in time (pre Ashley era) Newcastle were cursed with injuries. So to blame things on injuries does not make a good excuse for me, and Pardew should be well aware that most people look through his post-match comments. To me it seems like he has lost the dressing room. This club is in such a bad form at the moment (look at the graphical stats in post above), and we have recently lost our best goalscorer for peanuts, that I really fear for Newcastle's survival in the EPL. For what it's worth, should we get relegated one more time under Ashley, I'd lose the last tiny hope I have of becoming a solid side under Ashley's ownership. God, I wish he'd sell up and that some filthy-rich Quatar Sheiks bought us.

Oh yeeeeah, this comes from the guy who 'gave' us Nicky Butt, Gabriel Obertan and the all time high-scoring Alan Smith.

What's up with all these mediocre Norwegians all of the sudden? EDIT: Well, it's only two. But then again, if Pardew wants a Norwegian, he might as well go for Mohammed Abdellaoue a.k.a MOA from Hannover.

I personally don't think he is worthy an 8 year contract, and I think a 3 or 5 year contract would have signalled the same long-term ambition by Ashley. This could prove to be a costly move, should it backfire on us - which I ultimately think it will based on our previous track-record of managers. Pardew was indeed nominated the Manager of the Year last season, so he definately did really well no question about that. However, as I see it much of the foundation was laid by Chris Hughton, and Pardew inherited an already motivated and cohesive squad. I'm also unsure weather Pardew should be credited for finding players such as Cabaye and Cissé... or if this is a down to Carr... I do wish him the very best, and hope he succeed with my club. I love it when some here jump to all sorts of conclusions like "he is not good enough". I think you need to read what I wrote atleast one more time. He is not anywhere near what we saw last season, and his performance so far this season is not good enough, he needs to sort himself out.

Get out. If you are pleased with his performance this season, then you need to get out.

Dave: I don't watch Portugese football either. Merely judging him by what he did at Chelsea and now Spurs. Dyeyzzon: Agreed. Yes, rumours has it that S.B.R did tutor him at some point. I just feel that Spurs look daft going forward, slow and boring. Still only three games now, so he might prove me wrong. My thoughts on this summer's transfer window is that it has been pretty shit and disappointing. I feel stupid for even having the slightest of hope that Ashley would show some glimmer of muscles and ambition.

It makes no sense selling Tioté to Arsenal. If last season performance is something we are aim to repeat, why on earth are we going to sell one of our stars to a rival?
