I'd say everybody in here express their opinions because they want what's best for Newcastle United. Whether Keegan is/was/could have been the man I'm not going to bother discussing. But the current situation which we, in my opinion, has been working consistently towards reaching isn't exactly anything to brag about. That is, unless we want to be named the most ridiculous football club in history.

Whatever Owen chooses to do, I'd not hold it against him. Of coure I'd like him to stay, because he's an important player for us now. But I also realise that IF we'd been in a different situation i.e being in the top 5 with no worries, I would min seeing him leave on the free or being sold as no player is more important than the club. At the end of the day we all want the players we have to want to play for newcastle United, rather than seeing us as just way of getting their pay cheque.
