Although I agree that we are obviously not the same team without him I think we need to remember who we were playing last night.... Most teams look like that against them. Just move on and hopefully Eddie has learnt a few things that we can use in the final and cause what would now be a bit of an upset

As Chris said the shushing at our next game would be hilarious/class... Plus we need to blast out Wham songs before/halftime/after the game just to wind them up more..... Because apparently the only thing that winds them up more the Tindall is Wham???!! (Obviously Duran Duran fans)

That just took me back, Peter Cartwright used to be my PE teacher back in the late 80's at Ridley

How long before the commentor says he's playing for a move to Arsenal?

Why do I have an irrational dislike for Curtis Jones? -
That as may be, but we're not allowed to grow ours under the rules made up for man u and their mates. So that argument is isn't really a fair one. (That's a dig at the rules not you Rod )

No kneejerk reaction and I'm not calling for his head, but he has to share the blame for that. Subs were strange as they didn't seem to have any reason to them. for example why move Gordon up top for about five minutes disrupting the team if you're going to bring Wilson on a few minutes later? I know it's probably just me that is bothered by stuff like this but the whole second half tactics just seemed slapdash and clueless. Again, not calling for his head or anything but he got it wrong on quite a few levels tonight.

That would explain where these bullshit stories come from

Hold on, hold on… so let me get this straight, you brought VAR in to make sure you got the “big” decisions right. You know maybe important ones like, I don’t know…goals? Then when a ref for whatever reason, view blocked or incompetent, gets the decision wrong… we are now supposed to just stay with the onfield decision?! I know they are talking all this rubbish about re-refereeing the game but I think getting goals allowed or disallowed right should be the one thing that it’s definitely used for regardless of wether the refs made a genuine mistake or is just usless
-
I disagree… I think it paints is as the club been shafted by the corrupt premier league and in turn the “big” 6

Murphy... The humour I think

I think anyone in football or anyone that has played the game will agree that what Schar did, although stupid, didn't warrant a red card. Then they will say "but that's the letter of the law" in relation to the rulebook. What they have just done is prove to themselves and everyone else that the rulebook is wrong and needs changing to punish the blatant cheating that is happening. Because nothing is happening to these players who are effectively bringing the game into disrepute.
-
I agree in hindsight sometimes it's better to play the longer game.. Sometimes in hindsight it's not. Hopefully the club has this all under control in the background and I, like a lot of people, are just being a bunch of fannies. I will definitely hold my hands up if we sign a couple of quality players and go on a good run. I think it's just ingrained in me to think on the negative side of things after what has went on in the past. Maybe seeing us lift the league trophy this season will rid me of that feeling next year
-
Not really, the point was that I had hoped we would have been further along with our signings by now, considering how long Eddie likes to bed people in. So surely having players in as quickly as possible would be a huge benefit to him because of this. I know it's not as easy as we would like to sign players, it's just a bit frustrating watching on and knowing how much it could help us in the early part of the season if we had everyone in and up to speed.
-
To be fair I started my post by saying we shouldn't rush in and buy somebody for the sake of it.
-
Although I agree we shouldn't just rush in and buy somebody without making sure they are right for the squad, the fact is we have a favourable start to the season. Are we not missing a trick by trying to have a couple of quality players in and hopefully having a flying start to the season? I would have hoped that the club would have also thought this after the fixtures came out. Leicester showed what a good start and momentum and belief can do if things fall right for you.

I know it'll never happen but I would love Newcastle to send an open letter to the premier league asking them to answer various questions, such as how can a rule that was brought primarily to stop debt be used to stop investment from the owners of clubs with enough money to cover that investment hundreds of times over. Also as it's been mentioned, how can they then allow certain clubs to take up debts of close to or over a billion pounds? And if they were to say that future revenues of said clubs would cover the debt, how is that any different to an owner putting money aside to cover any expenditure for their club? I would then love them to put it to them that the only reason this rule has been brought in is for the benefit of the richer clubs. Never going to happen unfortunately.

What an absolute shitshow the premier league has created. I like most people am absolutely sick to the back teeth of hearing about ffp and all that. this is the close season, we have the weathiest owners in the world and we are in the news not for which players we are trying to attract, but instead for either having to sell some of our best players or face points deductions.. And what for? Because after 14 years of having our revenue and club stripped away while the premier league watched on and done nothing about it, we spent in the grand scheme of things, a fairly reasonable about of money to try and rebuild some of the damage that had been done, and challenge once again. Plus we have had to cope with new regulations brought in within days to try and stop us at every turn. The fact that some people at certain clubs can't handle the thought of competition makes me wonder why they bought into the clubs in the first place, as that is what football has always been about.... Competition. Sorry for the rant it's just depressing that this is the narrative and the media is taking such glee in desperately trying to sell our best players to any of the so called elite. I would have thought that the media would love the story of one or two new kids on the block to disrupt the status quo... But I guess they are all too much in the back pockets of a handful of clubs.

Is it just me or is that genuinely the fastest I've ever seen him run?

At my age I was thinking more the Duckie Boys from The Wanderers

I'm sorry but that was a pen all day long

How the premier league can say with a straight face that there's no bias towards the so called big six wankers is laughable. Actually no it's disgusting. It makes me think that the premier league know that at the minute those six clubs have the biggest support worldwide, and in their small and self preserving minds they think that if their darling clubs are knocked off their perch then the global brand will suffer. Only thing I can think of as nothing is ever done about this blatant corruption.
