  1. Read: expansion of Sports Direct, Puma etc in to France......... (jokes)
  2. Id love for us to be a consistantly top 8 club. Some seasons challenging for top 4. Most importantly, id love to be watching more Ben Arfa's and getting genuinely excited to watch a game. Waiting in anticipation for 3 "Ben Arfa's" in a game to produce some brilliance. Thats enough for me.

  5. Only way this could work is if Colo stays for x period, earning zero wages and then buying out the rest of his contract. Even then it doesnt make sense.
  6. That's a nightmare. Why should points be given for anything other than playing football? We support the club, not just the first team. My point is, would be great if we could score which the best club is somehow, so that we prevent a gajillionaire from buying scunthorpe and all of a sudden winning the league. Its a stupid idea i know, just thinking out aloud really ....hehehehehe
  7. My 2min framework is obviously not well thought out, but you get the point though....
  8. Would be great if league position was scored as the sum total of the clubs success. Im dreaming I know, but, something like: Points for winning games Points for support in stadium Points for starting U21 players in games Points for English players in games Points for financial fair play etc
  9. Fred Bob Mike John Joe Dirk Has as much relevance. We dont know who is coming in, we dont know who is doing out

Yes they are. Portsmouth had a new stadium in the pipeline. Portsmouth actively were looking for extra sponsors and thought buying success now would buy them guaranteed future which was completely wrong. They still went he same way as Leeds. Which QPR will do when they get relegated. Fernandez is way smarter than anyone who was ever connected to Pompey. History is littered with the still smouldering corpses of clever, rich men who went into football club ownership and still got burned. Fernandes has more brains than the whole of our management put together. More so he is an inspirational character like a Branson. He really isn't. You know fuk all about him. He was one of the brains at Aol and left when he saw the writing on the wall. He started Air Asia from scratch in one room with no airline licence. If qpr survive in the PL a couple of season they will be a force to be reckoned with. By this logic, we have Ashley, who also built a massive empire from very little. So because he is the 15th wealthiest in the UK, he must know what he is doing running a football club, right? Fernandes corporate nous and structure is on another planet to Mashley..That is abundantly clear to anyone who looks at it for 2 mins. Football isn't an exact science but I know who I'd rather own our club. Mashley is a poor communicator - Fernandes by all accounts is loved top to bottom in his companies and ventures. He's an economist and astute model builder for business longevity and structural financial development. It's like comparing a monkey with a typwriter and an IBM. Great point. Wish we had Bill Gates running the club, he built Microsoft from his garage, so would be great running a football club

  12. Which is the real Newcastle? Which is the real Pardew? Which is the real Cisse? Rinse Repeat Wouldnt it be great if all our players played brilliantly all of the time. So simple...
  13. Nobody said he was a terrible player all of a sudden. Which position are you on about, CM? He can do well in that role. It'll nearly always hold us back as a team, though. Im talking about CM. Obviously. And I disagree with you. Different games call for different approaches. Do we need a Tiote type player when at home against Reading, going forward, probably not. Do we need a Tiote type player away to Man U ? Probably yes. If we are leading 1-0 in a tight game, do we need him to come on to close out the game? yes. Its about having a squad and options. Not just a great first 11. Tiote gives us a great option, and when he was in form, he was an absolute beast.
  14. Dont get all this replace Tiote nonsense. People have such short memories. Just because he isnt performing now, doesnt make him a terrible player all of a sudden. Dont forget the position we put him in. He can do a great job protecting the back 4, and laying off short passes to cabaye/anita and the fullbacks. Not even 12 months ago we would have been upset selling him for 20mill and now all we want to do is get rid of him. Id like Tiote in the team, with the simple job of breaking up play, and handing the ball off to midfields in front of him. In that role, I believe he can thrive. If we need someone to spray long passes around, or be a box to box, he isnt that person. Nor do we require that role for every single game. Depends on the game, the opposition, the formations, the relevance, etc Ultimately we need options. And Tiote can be one of those.
  15. Today's Prediction Challenge: How many pages in the Remy thread before he a) signs for us b) signs for someone else, or c) doesnt sign for anyone in Jan window
  16. One thing I dont understand about the current structure. If the purpose is to buy low, so that we can sell high later. Surely that means then, that if we have more stock, we stand more chance to make money? In Sports Direct terms: Right now we only have a few shirts in the shop. We need more shirts, else we wont hit revenue targets.
